Olive Picking Activity for the students of Shams Center for Special Education 🌿🫒, funded by HEAL Palestine.

The activity included preparing a special traditional Palestinian table featuring olive oil, olives, za’atar, and manaqeesh, creating a joyful and interactive atmosphere that introduced students to our Palestinian heritage and encouraged their participation in cultural activities. 🇵🇸🌿

For the students of Shams Center for Special Education, fully funded by HEAL Palestine .

Shams Center for Special Education students participated in a range of educational, sensory, and physical activities aimed at developing concentration and attention, sensory awareness, independence, and motor skills.

🔹 Activity 1: A concentration and attention activity through making bead bracelets, helping develop focus, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills.

🔹 Activity 2: A sensory-motor activity where students placed their feet inside a box containing different textures and materials, such as sand, water, rough, and smooth surfaces, to develop sensory awareness and the ability to distinguish between different textures.

🔹 Activity 3: A concentration and independence activity through training students to button their own shirts.

🔹 Activity 4: A motor and concentration activity involving putting a ball into a cup, helping develop hand-eye coordination and focus.

🔹 Activity 5: A physical activity involving jumping along lines, aimed at developing balance, motor coordination, and gross motor skills.

🌱 Simple activities… making a big difference in our children’s skills and independence.

As part of our ongoing efforts to support our children, underwear and shoes were distributed to students of Shams Center for Special Education, with generous support from HEAL Palestine.

The staff and students of Shams Center for Special Education celebrated 52 years of giving and excellence, marking a long-standing journey of achievements and dedicated service to children with disabilities.

We were delighted to celebrate this special occasion with our valued partner, HEAL Palestine, which plays an important role in supporting the continuity of services provided by Shams Center for Special Education, fully funded by HEAL Palestine.

وعليه، سيكون يوم الأربعاء الموافق 26/8/2026 يوم دوام رسمي كالمعتاد.

🌍❤️ اليوم العالمي للعمل الإنساني

في اليوم العالمي للعمل الإنساني، تؤكد جمعية شمس أن العمل الإنساني رسالة سامية تقوم على العطاء والرحمة، وصون كرامة الإنسان، والوقوف إلى جانب الفئات الأكثر احتياجًا للدعم والرعاية، وخاصة أطفالنا.

وبهذه المناسبة، أكد رئيس مجلس الإدارة الأستاذ محمد طعيمة ومديرة الجمعية الأستاذة ميسر الشقره على مواصلة الجمعية رسالتها الإنسانية في تقديم الدعم التعليمي والتأهيلي والنفسي والاجتماعي للأطفال، والعمل المستمر على توفير بيئة آمنة وداعمة تُمكّنهم من التعلم والتطور والاندماج، وتمنحهم الأمل نحو مستقبل أفضل. 🌱❤️

On World Humanitarian Day, Shams Association reaffirms that humanitarian work is a noble mission built on compassion, generosity, preserving human dignity, and standing alongside those most in need of support and care, especially our children.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Mohammed Taima, and the Association’s Director, Ms. Maysar Al-Shakra, reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to continuing its humanitarian mission by providing educational, rehabilitative, psychological, and social support to children, while continuously working to create a safe and supportive environment that enables them to learn, develop, integrate, and have hope for a better future. 🌱❤️

Our sincere thanks and appreciation go to all humanitarian workers and to everyone who extends a helping hand and believes that people come first. 🤝

With the participation of Class A students at Shams Center for Special Education, fully funded by HEAL Palestine , an educational and artistic activity was carried out in which the students created a kite featuring both the HEAL Palestine and Shams Center logos, in an atmosphere of fun and engagement that promoted their creativity and artistic skills.
