"The suffering of the people in Gaza continues, as thousands of families lack the most basic necessities of life, foremost among which is clean and safe drinking water.
Every drop of clean water means life, safety, and dignity for a family struggling to survive.
Providing clean drinking water is not merely a response to a need; it is a fundamental right and an urgent necessity that cannot wait."

Amwaj Association for Community Development and Improvement is implementing a humanitarian intervention to provide and distribute clean, safe drinking water to displaced families and the most vulnerable households in northern Gaza. This comes in light of the severe shortage of safe water sources and the significant damage to the water infrastructure.
The project aims to contribute to ensuring access to safe drinking water for the population—especially children, women, the elderly, and persons with disabilities—and to mitigate the risks of waterborne diseases caused by water scarcity and contamination. Distribution operations are carried out by trucking safe water to gathering points, camps, and areas lacking adequate water sources, alongside field monitoring to ensure the water reaches the targeted groups.
This intervention is part of the humanitarian response efforts within the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) sector, as access to safe drinking water remains a major challenge
