The mayor of Gaza, d. This came during his participation in the "Helweh Ya Baladi" initiative, which was organized by the municipality in the "Elna Sea Cooperative" on the seashore in cooperation with the Development Action Center (Ma'an), the Alumni Association, the future scout team, and a group of activists and initiators.
He said that the Gaza municipality attaches great importance to and supports community initiatives in order to achieve participation from different groups of society, explaining that the municipality has supported more than 70 different initiatives during the past two years and since the current municipal council assumed its duties.
For his part, the head of the Development Action Center, Jaber Qudeih, thanked the Gaza Municipality and the volunteers for their role and participation in the initiative, stressing the importance of voluntary initiatives in maintaining the cleanliness of the city, and raising awareness among different segments of society.
The initiative included cleaning the seashore of the city in front of the "Elna Sea Cooperative" as a starting point that includes the implementation of other initiatives to clean the seashore of the Gaza Strip.

Gaza Municipality completes maintenance work on Omar Al-Mukhtar Street near Al-Abbas area 👇
The Gaza Municipality has completed the maintenance work of Omar Al-Mukhtar Street, opposite the Al-Abbas area, west of the city, as part of the road maintenance project implemented by the municipality to improve the condition of the roads and facilitate traffic movement on them.
The director of the coordination and supervision department in the municipality, m. Khalil Al-Shaqra said that about 128 tons of hot asphalt were used in the maintenance work of the area, which occupies an area of ​​about 900 square meters and is located opposite the police station and the mosque and to the west of Al-Abbas Junction.
He indicated that the maintenance work was carried out on both sides of the street and the places that were previously excavated with the aim of extending a sewage line serving the area, and the maintenance work was carried out with funding from the Development Fund and Lending to Local Authorities.
More than 70 sites in the city's streets and junctions were severely damaged by the direct bombing of the city during the recent Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
