The home care program for the disabled people:
This program provides at home services to the disabled people including physical therapy, care giver training and distribution of assistive devices and home accommodation. Speech therapy program:
This program provides speech and language therapy services to people of all ages, especially people who are s
uffering multi disabilities and their speech/language problems are due to their disability. Health and social community awareness program:
The team who is working in this program provides educational and awareness campaigns to the families of the disabled people and the community in the marginalized areas to contribute to reducing the number disabilities. Kindergarten:
The SBCR established a kindergarten for the children of the Buriej camp out of its responsibility to provide the children with special and advanced services. In addition, those summer camps helped into changing the ideas around disabled children and their disabilities. The Physical Therapy Center:
The center provides physical therapy services in addition to the rehabilitation and occupational therapy services to the disabled people. The Center is equipped with advanced equipment to give the chance to the specialists to be able provide the clients with the services on a scientific basis. Woman and child center in Gaza Valley village:
This project that is funded by the UNDP provides excellent services to the disable women and children in a marginalized area that lacks such services. This center provides rehabilitation services to the disabled people including physical therapy and occupational therapy that is very important to improve their quality of life. Special Education program for slow learners:
This program provides the slow learners and the disabled children with educational, psychological and health services. This program aims to improving the educational abilities of the slow learners to be ready to be integrated into their regular classrooms. Buriej Special School:
The school provides educational services to the mildly mentally re****ed children in a complete program with their families. In addition to the relief services and the assistive provided educational, psychological and health services for the marginalized people. Over the past years the SBCR has provided many services and programs to the cost of all the services and programs to the disabled people and their families. The society covers the cost of all the services and programs to reach as many disabled people as it could and to go along with its goals and mandates. The services include the support programs to help the disabled people to live independently and to help them to be able to acquire self care techniques and to be able to live in their accommodated houses at a comfortable level. Emergency relief projects:
On the light of the difficult economical situation and the siege by Israel that is causing a shortage in the basic life needs, the basic life needs, the SBCR has taken the lead to reduce the effect of the previously mentioned facts on the people. The SBCR distributed many food and relief materials on the needs people a;; over the middle governorate which clearly helped in reducing the effect on the disabled people and their families. Summer Camps for disable children:
The SBCR has finished many summer integration camps with normal children. Society of AL- Bureij for Community Rehabilitation (SBCR)
SBCR was establish in 2004 under the low of civil society number 2000 under the license number 7402. Since then the society in the middle governorate. In addition, due to the active presence of the society in the society in the committee of UNRWA rehabilitation societies in the Gaza Strip. More then 15 employees work for the SBCR of the highly qualified administrative and technical qualification. Furthermore, the society is a non governmental, nonprofit organization which is working hard to reach its mandate and accomplish its goals. Vision:
