Dar Al Majus Community Home, an initiative of Pro Terra Sancta in Bethlehem, provides social support, cultural programs, a Fair Trade Bazaar, and a guesthouse, serving as a hub for community care, empowerment, and cultural exchange. The project was established by Pro Terra Sancta to respond to the growing needs of marginalized groups, particularly youth and women, in a district constrained by the
Separation Wall and long-term economic and social challenges. Many in these groups face psychological distress, high unemployment, and uncertainty about the future. Dar Al Majus Community Home provides a welcoming and supportive space for all members of these communities. Its services focus on three main areas:
Hearing and Support: A space where expert social workers offer listening sessions, psychological support, and guidance for youth. Professional Courses and Career Support: Offering career orientation, guidance, and a co-working space for young people to develop and implement new ideas. Cultural Center: Hosting cultural activities that revive creativity and connect youth with their rich cultural heritage. The center aims to become a focal point for the community, offering an inclusive space open to everyone, regardless of religion, ethnicity, gender, or age, fostering empowerment, creativity, and social well-being in a challenging context.
