Talitha Kumi School is located in Beit Jala – Palestine, a city west to Bethlehem on a top of a hill, Talitha Kumi scout & guide troop was established in 1995 inside the school and is a member of the Palestinian Scout Association. Talitha Troop "contains" about 150 scouts and guides; all are school students or graduates of the school from both religions, of different ages. Talitha Kumi scout troop
is a member of the VCP (Verband Christlicher Pfadfinderinnen und Pfadfinder) in Germany, which is the Union of the Christian Scout & guide. TALITHA SCOUT ACTIVITIES:
Talitha Kumi Scout & guide troop has many activities for its participants, some of these activities are:
1. Annual scout camps, for one week each, to teach each of the participants self reliance, courage, and self actualization, besides the development of scout traits and skills, by lectures in first aid and camping and communication skills by specialists in each field.
3. Annual International takes place in Germany with participation on about 25 countries all over the world. We participate in these camps since 1997 till now each year.
4. The participation in the school celebrations such as the annual high school graduations and the open day, where Talitha scout has the role of playing the entry music and the national anthem and other voluntary work inside and outside the school.
5. The annual participation in the religious and national celebrations: Christmas and Easter in Bethlehem, the independence day, to name some. Talitha Kumi scout & guide troop during the past ten years was able to "assure" its existence in Bethlehem Governorate in general by the faithful educated leadership staff and loyal participants of all ages.
