Description:

The Senior IT Systems Manager is a hands-on position responsible for the implementation, maintenance, operation, and planning of the enterprise technical systems including, but not limited to network servers, data storage devices, network operating systems, enterprise imaging, email system, data backup/recovery systems, and data access security on-premises or in the cloud. This person provides technical expertise in capacity planning, functional and technical design of enterprise systems, and resolution of complex problems. As a member of the Systems Team, the Senior IT Systems Manager works collaboratively as well as independently to resolve and troubleshoot complex technical issues, system failures and problems, avoiding downtime and outages. The Senior IT Systems Manager must have a high-level and diverse range of knowledge regarding technical systems to provide the means to support the current environment while planning for the future as the district addresses capacity planning, new system designs, and proactive measures.

Title: Technology Integration Specialist

Description:

The Middle and Upper School Technology Integration Specialist will be a key teammate in a three person team charged with purposeful integration of technology into the Maclay Curriculum. The position will be the front line champion of Middle and Upper School technology integration efforts. This position will have the full support and partnership of a robust technology office and strong partners in the Lower School technology integration staff. This is a new position and as such, will require an unquenchable desire to differentiate instruction to teachers in order to enable meaningful use of technology in all disciplines of the Middle and Upper School. This leader will be counted on as the resident expert on best practices in technology use for education and expected to partner with the Division Directors and Department Chairs to articulate realistic expectations for technological progression in the curriculum and classroom. Desired qualifications for the position are an advanced degree in Technology Integration or related Education degree, at least 5 years of successful teaching experience in a middle grades classroom, and 2 years of experience educating teachers in the integration of technology for instruction in an independent school. Maclay seeks a leader who knows how to work collaboratively with a team, sets high expectations for themselves and, others and will be undaunted by the ups and downs of integrating new technology into traditional classrooms.
