Another kitten dropped in Pinones to the stray dogs area in the bushes by the beach. I spoke to TNR ladies who spay dogs there and it apparently is a quite common thing.
To all the heartless people who do it. This is so f-up on so many levels. These kittens can't defend themselves against pack of dogs. Do not count on girls taking care of the dog community there to be able to save them. If you really have no heart and want to drop the kitten somewhere is better to leave him in cat community instead exposing him to being ripped apart by dogs. It is not best way either, why don't you just reach to cat rescue groups? Or maybe put $5 as donation? maybe agree to foster until we find home? Throwing kitten amongst wild dogs pack it is the worst idea one can imagine.

Last Saturday our two rescues Winter and Paris were taken by Flight Angels, Tristine and her family to Boston Logan. They were greeted with flowers by a couple, Christine and Carey, who adopted both. Check our adopters cute cat t-shirts for this special occasion!
These cats waited some time to find loving home. Flight Angels help to get our rescues to their destination. For all tourists and others who fly out of SJ please volunteer to take an animal out of here. You don't know what it means to all of our rescue organizations. We spend considerable time and money to send rescues to mainland; we can't drive them unfortunately. They often sit and wait for the next flight to freedom.
To everyone else - fight cruelty towards all animals, everywhere, always
Thank you
Monika Cieslik

This is a story about cooperation. Please watch the video about the only kitten that survived among stray dogs in Pinones woods. Apparently, there were four that someone dropped there. We responded to the story posted by Ana who does tremendous job of TNR and saving dogs in Pinones. Kitty name is Gino, very sweet social, playful 3 months old kitten. Our cat TNR girl took him to foster. It's been over a week now and he had his first vet visit. He tested negative for viruses got his shots etc. We will find him happy home.
Cruelty against stray dogs and cats of Puerto Rico is heart breaking.
Please remember that we receive ZERO support from local government. We can only save if we have private support.

This beautiful little snowball was rescued on Calle Loiza after falling from a moving vehicle. Thankfully a kind couple stopped just in time and took her off the road. Alaska was taken from the couple by our TNR friend, and we support her medical needs. However, we can't help all these kittens from our own pockets. FOR PEOPLE WHO FIND KITTENS, please OFFER AT LEAST SOME MONETARY HELP TO THESE WILLING TO TAKE THEM OFF YOUR HANDS AND PROVIDE CARE.
If you wish to support our mission, please donate (link to paypal, venmo, credit card below. ATH: yellowcatfundacion. No donation is too small. Donations are tax exempt in Puerto Rico and US mainland

Mother cat brought these four kittens on the porch in Toa Baja at the end of March. The story had a happy ending at the end of June when last kitten was adopted. We helped to spay mother, who was young and sweet. She was taken by the neighbor. Another neighbor adopted the gray kitten. Bounded Ginny and Whizzy went to Rockland MA where were spayed/ neutered at Spay Waggin. They live happy life at wonderful family that has small boy and a toddler. It is so rewarding to look at the pictures they send us of small kids learning love for animals. Nina was fostered in SJ and left to her forever home in Providence RI. She was ready to meet her new 7 y old friend just the following morning. She is doing fantastic.
Please help us to have more happy endings. Please donate. We appreciate every dollar. Cats are unbelievably adaptable, just give them a chance

Do you remember Cheese? Our little Easter bunny that was found under the hood at the dealer shop. It's been a week since Cheese is enjoying his new home in Arlington MA. He traveled to BOS with Dan through FlyDogz . Interesting fact, it is our third cat that moved from SJ to Arlington during last couple months.
Thank you to the foster mom, flight volunteer and adopters Sarah and Hannah to make it happen for Cheese!

Update on Molly, hit by the motorcycle most likely. Her leg healed but she had to have her tail amputated. After consultation with two vets she joined the "tailless but fabulous" club. Molly isn't thrilled about her new looks, but she takes treatment and all medications as a champ. We don't know yet if she will be suitable for adoption and for sure she will not go back to the streets. Her surgery was sponsored by Kaleigh and Kevin from Connecticut who adopted previously a cat from the same rescuer. Big thanks to this just 29 years old couple! Pictures then and now
