What an amazing experience it was. I leave with a full heart, inspired by the conversations, connections, and moments shared throughout this incredible week.

It was truly a blessing and an honor to share this space with friends, colleagues, and professionals from around the world who are passionate about shaping the future of our industry.

Grateful for the opportunity to learn, collaborate, represent our organization, and celebrate the impact we can make when we come together as a community.

Honored to share this special moment from FIG!

What an incredible opportunity to present this book, a vision I carried in my heart for a very long time, and to highlight the work of our organization.

This project is more than a collection of stories it is a celebration of the women of Puerto Rico, their contributions, their legacy, and the path they continue to pave for future generations.

I am deeply grateful to FIG for creating the opportunity to present our work and for providing a platform to share our contributions and commitment to the community.

Day 1 at FIG in South Africa 🇿🇦
An incredible start to the conference, reconnecting with longtime colleagues, building new relationships, and engaging with inspiring leaders across the surveying industry.

I am deeply honored to have been appointed Chair of Working Group 1.2 Women in Survey, Commission 1.

I had the opportunity to share our vision, mission, and the impactful work we are doing to uplift women in surveying while bringing greater visibility to this beautiful profession on a global stage.

Grateful for the meaningful conversations and new connections made.

Meet surveyor Ruth Trujillo. On Ruth's first day at a job site as a student, a client assumed she was the secretary. By the end of that day, the surveyor was writing her a check after she'd outworked his assistant.

That was the moment that set everything in motion.
Ruth went on to earn two degrees, pass her PS licensing exam, serve as State Surveyor for Puerto Rico, and in 2019, start her own company.

Today, Ruth's firm works across Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, delivering everything from boundary surveys to LiDAR and bathymetric surveys, with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a primary client.

She describes land surveying as "the opportunity to travel through time", piecing together historical plans, searching for monuments left by past surveyors, and experiencing landscapes most people will never see.

We love that.

Gracias a nuestras invitadas de Girls in Civil por compartir este espacio con nosotras. Fue una conversación genuina, cómoda y enriquecedora entre mujeres de la industria, explorando cómo la inteligencia artificial está transformando nuestra vida profesional y nuestras industrias.

Hablamos sobre aplicaciones cotidianas, usos en ingeniería civil y herramientas que ya están impactando la agrimensura, desde análisis y automatización hasta recopilación de datos e interpretación de documentos históricos.

La IA no viene a reemplazarnos, viene a potenciar nuestras capacidades cuando aprendemos a usarla estratégicamente.
