Happy Hump Day Warriors!

Just a reminder for tomorrow's meet up at the outdoor concert at the museum.

I will arrive around 5pm to get a good spot on the lawn! Look for the IW Flag!

Don't forget your chair and you can bring in your beer and wine in a small cooler. We will also have some snacks and water.

Happy Saturday! IW Puerto Rico will be having monthly meet up's so that we can stay locally connected throughtout the year!
Our 1st meet up will be this Thursday, June 4th from 5pm-8pm at Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico located at 299 Avenida José de Diego, San Juan, 00909, Puerto Rico
Please let us know in the comments below if you plan on attending;so that we can get the tickets!
This event is outside and we are allowed to bring chairs, cooloers, adult beverages and snacks! We went last month and thought this would be a great meetup!!

Our Irreverent Warriors family has suffered a devastating loss.

Lauren Hughes , Local Coordinator for IW Adventures, fierce leader, light in this community, and an incredible friend, has passed away, along with her unborn son, Damien.

Lauren was the kind of human you don’t come across often. She showed up fully, for this mission, for her people, and for the veteran community she loved so deeply. She believed in connection, in healing, in laughter, and in making sure no one ever felt alone.

And … her husband, her adventure partner, her person, our IW Adventure is now carrying a grief that no one should ever have to carry.

Right now, he needs us.
He needs the same community that Lauren poured herself into.

He needs us to rally, to support, to love him through the unimaginable.

IW is more than hikes.
It’s more than events.
It’s family.
And when one of us is hurting, we ALL show up.

Please keep Devin in your thoughts, and your hearts.

Reach out. Check in. Stand beside him the way Lauren stood beside so many of us.

Lauren and sweet baby Damien, we love you.

We will carry your light forward.

IW Puerto Rico conducted an engagement with the USAR 77th CSSB HHC, and 266th Battalions in Aguadilla on Saturday, 11 April 2026.
Our Local Coordinator presented the Irreverent Warriors mission, strengthened connections across the formation, and opened the door for real conversations about community, camaraderie, humor and support within the ranks.

remains committed to bringing service members together through humor, connection, and shared experience — breaking stigma, building community, and reminding every Soldier that they’re never carrying the weight alone.

¡Feliz Día de Reyes, !

In Puerto Rico, January 6th is Epiphany — the day we celebrate the Three Wise Men visiting baby Jesus. It’s a big deal here: kids leave grass for the camels, families gather, and the spirit of tradition runs deep.

But this year… something legendary happened.
The Three Wise Men showed up in Puerto Rico as usual… But instead of Bethlehem, they found the OG of Silkies chilling in a hammock on the beach.

Rocking mini silkies and shades, the baby looked at them and said:
“Go tell the world to register for the 2026 IW PR Silkies Hike!!”
