As we approach the tenth anniversary of the Pulse Nightclub tragedy, we would like to extend a thoughtful and open invitation to join us for PULSE 10: Baquiné for the Angels, a space created by and for the community. We recognize that this date may bring forward deep emotions, difficult memories, and personal experiences of grief. With this in mind, this gathering has been intentionally designed with care, sensitivity, and respect, integrating a trauma-informed and emotionally centered approach.
PULSE 10: Baquiné for the Angels is a community cultural commemoration honoring the 49 angels, survivors, and their families. Rooted in the Afro-Puerto Rican Baquiné tradition, this gathering offers an intimate space for remembrance, healing, and connection, where grief, resilience, and love can coexist without spectacle or politicization. Wear white as a gesture of solidarity and remembrance.
