In early July, we had the pleasure of welcoming The Road Less Traveled to Pa'Ti Mar for a four-day program! 🪸
Throughout their time, participants learned how to identify Caribbean coral species, recognize coral diseases, conduct reef monitoring using quadrant photography, and analyze ecological data. They also helped maintain our land-based coral nursery and left behind a beautiful reminder of their visit by adding artwork to our nursery tanks.
After completing the program, each participant earned a Certificate, recognizing the knowledge and hands-on skills they developed while contributing to real coral restoration efforts.

At the end of March students from Howard Community College spent some their spring break volunteering with us at Pa’Ti Mar 🌊
Together we cleaned the coral nursery and painted beautiful artwork on the tanks that will soon be home to corals and mangroves growing for reef restoration in San Juan. Thanks So grateful for the energy and support for our oceans 💙

Un enorme agradecimiento al Municipio de San Juan por enviar a su equipo y sus cisternas para ayudarnos a llenar los tanques de nuestro vivero con agua fresca, y por su continuo apoyo a Pa’Ti Mar.
Estamos muy agradecidos de contar con que cree en proteger nuestros océanos y en apoyar la restauración de arrecifes liderada por la comunidad. 🌊💙
