🌅 A Powerful Morning at co.co.haus: “Una Población Olvidada” Event Recap 📣 🌴 Fundación LSG

This past Saturday, November 15, 2025, co.co.haus had the honor to sponsor “Una Población Olvidada (A Forgotten Population),” a deeply impactful event led by Luis Salazar Géigel, a co.co.haus member and founder of the only nonprofit in Puerto Rico dedicated exclusively to the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) community. His advocacy set the tone for a meaningful morning of awareness and education.

The special guest speaker of the day was Dr. Manuel Más, who presented the first detailed study on TBI patients treated at the Puerto Rico Trauma Hospital. His findings highlighted critical data on the demographics of TBI in Puerto Rico and the pressing need to strengthen rehabilitation and prevention services across the island.

Luis’ work through the Fundación Luis Salazar Géigel (LSG) continues to be a beacon of hope for survivors and families navigating the long recovery road for TBI patients—an often overlooked population deeply impacted by social and healthcare gaps.

At co.co.haus, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment that welcomes people of all abilities. Through supporting our members and hosting events that foster education, visibility, and connection, we are proud to contribute to Puerto Rico’s functional diverse community.
