Con mucha tristeza comunicamos que hoy se nos fue el papá de todos los animales que han pasado por el santuario. Hoy perdimos a nuestro pilar, nuestro fundador y gran defensor de animales, Nelson Méndez. Desde joven él sintió un inmenso amor y compasión por los perros y gatos, dedicando toda su vida a ellos. Contra viento y marea salvó miles de animales, luchó día a día por ellos, dándole todo su tiempo, esfuerzo, recursos, alma y corazón a ellos. Definitivamente dejó su huella en la vida de muchísimos seres, y su legado se recordará por siempre. Nuestras condolencias a su familia y amigos. 🤍🙏🐾

Gracias a todos los que de una u otra manera ayudaron a Nelson y sus rescates. Los invitamos a continuar con su legado en su honor. Esperamos su apoyo. ❤️🐾

Rescue was only the first chapter. Lovie is still waiting for her happy ending. 💜🐾

When Lovie was just a tiny puppy, she and her three siblings were abandoned behind a fence on an empty property in Puerto Rico. They were hungry, thirsty, scared, and too small to escape. Somehow, they survived together until someone finally heard their cries and came to help.

Today, Lovie is safe, healthy, spayed, house-trained, and full of love. She loves adventures, belly rubs, giving kisses, and then curling up for a good nap afterward.

The happiest part of her story? She was rescued.

The hardest part? She’s still waiting for a family to choose her.

One of her sisters has already found a wonderful home, but Lovie and her brothers are still hoping their turn is next. After everything they’ve been through, they deserve to know what it feels like to belong to someone.

Lovie is playful, affectionate, and ready for her next adventure. Whether you’re looking for a hiking buddy, cuddle companion, beach partner, or loyal best friend, she’s ready to love you with her whole heart.
