Theme and Audience
“Education + Passion = Success”
For the second consecutive year, the ETLC will be held in conjunction between Region IV and Region VII, providing SHPE members an opportunity to develop their technical, leadership, and professional skills. Every year the ETLC is governed by a central theme and this year’s “Education + Passion = Success” theme will focus on the various qualities
necessary for exceptional leadership. The ETLC will emphasize the importance of combining proper education and passion to excel as a leader. While education will be covered by our technical track, passion will be covered by our leadership track. Audience
There will be an open call for participants from Region IV and Region VII, which encompass more than 4,000 members, although SHPE membership Nationwide is welcome. This conference will include specialized tracks attracting undergraduate and graduate student members, professional members and pre-college students. Unprecedented attendance records are expected for the ETLC 2012 this coming February 23-26, 2012.
