Hopeward has partnered with local builders, municipalities, non-profits and churches. We identify those in need and develop a strategy to build them a new, highly efficient, hurricane and earthquake resistant home while creating jobs in the unskilled labor market. OUR HISTORY
After following the utter destruction wreaked upon the island by hurricanes and earthquakes on the news and spendi
ng time on the island meeting people and seeking the best way to serve, we saw a need for infrastructure, jobs and safe energy efficient homes. As doors opened and amazing contacts were made we began the journey of bringing our first home to Puerto Rico. OUR MISSION
We focus on providing safe, highly efficient, hurricane and earthquake resistant homes for those unable to access government funds while simultaneously creating jobs in the unskilled workforce. Our members and volunteers provide the momentum that helps us affect change. Using data driven models, we provide solutions that make a long-lasting difference. THE PRODUCT
The magic of our home building is the proprietary SIPs (Structurally Insulated Panels) used for the exterior walls and roof. The end result is a home that is attractive, highly energy efficient and structurally strong. THE PROCESS
Once the slab is poured and set the process of building the exterior walls and roof can be accomplished in 24-48 hours. The finishing of the interior will be completed within 30 - 40 days. UNSKILLED LABOR - JOB CREATION
The making of the SIPs and building with them only requires unskilled labor. The training process is quick and efficient. Our plan is to create jobs all over the island.
