El proyecto esencia pretende privatizar playas, construir viviendas millonarias en una zona protegida, destruir el ecosistema y cientos de especies protegidas, toxificar la bahía y gentrificar Boquerón, aumentando el costo de vivienda y precarizando recursos escazos en la zona, como el agua potable. The 'Esencia' construction project pretends to privatize beaches, build housing for multimillionaires in protected lands, destroy the ecosyste and hundreds of species, toxify the bay, gentrify Boquerón, increase housing price in the zone and exploiting scarce resources in the area like water. The people do not want to continue giving away their country, their resources, our land to multimillionaires who buy election campaigns. We resist, we do not desist.

In 2024, our visit to Ichirouganaim land (Barbados) opened a door that was never closed. Connecting with siblings across the sea, the easternmost, built bridges sustained by tight hugs and sweaty dancing. Honoring our differences, rejoicing in diversity. En el 2024, nuestra visita a tierra Ichirouganaim (Barbados) abrió una puerta que nunca fue cerrada. Conectar con hermanes al otro lao del mar, les más al este, construyó puentes sostenidos con abrazos apretaos y bailoteo sudao. Honrando nuestras diferencias, regocijándonos en la diversidad. Cuerpes negres riendo mientras emergen del mar. Promesas de continuar sanando, bregando y existiendo. Juntes. Nos vemos pronto.

Back in 2021, and , with the support of , extended an invitation to become part of the workshop cycle of AfroJuventudes 🙌🏾, a group of amazing young black people from the archipelago.
