Thank you to everyone who came to our Posada and helped make it so special. We truly appreciate your time, kindness, and support as we come together in faith to honor Christ this Christmas season.

A special thank you to Colonel John Samples for being a wonderful host and opening the doors of his home to us and thanks to the social ministry Posada project manager, Mrs Rebecca Rodriguez, and the rest of her family team for putting it all together and making it happen. And big thanks to the Commissary for their generous support.

🎄Merry Christmas!🎄

Veterans Day Message:

CH (MAJ) Joseph F. Okpe, Garrison Chaplain
Fort Buchanan Chapel Community

Today, we pause to honor the men and women who have worn the uniform of our nation. Each of you: Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Guardians, and your families, has carried the weight of service with courage, integrity, and faith.

During my years in the Army, I have had the privilege of serving alongside some of the most courageous, selfless, and resilient people I have ever known. I have witnessed Soldiers step into hardship without hesitation, stand firm in moments of fear and uncertainty, and give more of themselves than most will ever truly understand. I’ve seen quiet strength, heartfelt laughter, deep sacrifice, and an unwavering bond of brotherhood and sisterhood.

To every Veteran, those still serving, those who have retired, and those who never made it home, your legacy has shaped my life, my faith, and my calling. Your service matters. Your story matters. And your sacrifice will never be forgotten.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to your families: spouses, children, and loved ones, whose sacrifices often go unseen but are deeply felt. You, too, have served in your own way, offering strength, love, and steadfast support through every deployment, every homecoming, and every challenge along the way.

Thank you for defending our freedom, carrying burdens most never see, and continuing to live with courage long after the uniform comes off.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13.

Happy Veterans Day 🇺🇸🫡💪

Hallelujah. Chapel Standby Generator Installed

The installation of the chapel standby generator has been a long journey, one that began long before my assignment to Fort Buchanan. By the grace of God, this much-needed project has finally been completed.

On behalf of the chapel community, I extend our sincere gratitude to COL Samples, CSM Bergman-Gandara, LTC Cook, and Ms. Lopez (Angie) and her DPW team for their dedication and support in making this a reality. To God be the glory.
