🥙 Subs in the Sukkah! 🌿✨

🤝 The beautiful theme of Sukkot is unity and togetherness. To be truly whole and complete, we must come together as one.

🍋🌿 The Four Species of the lulav and etrog represent the diverse qualities within the Jewish people, reminding us that each of us has something unique to contribute.

🏠❤️ Sukkot brings us all together under one roof, where we celebrate as one family, without distinction.

🎉 What a joy to see our community come together, sharing delicious food, friendship, laughter, and fun for all ages — truly bringing the beautiful theme of Sukkot to life! 🌟

We are deeply grateful to the Hon. Héctor Vázquez Muñiz, Secretary of the Puerto Rico Department of Recreation and Sports, for his warm visit to Chabad.

During his visit, Secretary Vázquez expressed his appreciation for the work of Chabad and the Center for Jewish Culture & Tolerance (CJCT), including CJCT’s partnership with PR for PR to provide recreational opportunities for teenagers in some of our neighboring communities.

He shared his enthusiasm for these initiatives and his commitment, in his official capacity, to supporting efforts that provide meaningful recreational and sports opportunities for communities across the island and contribute to the wellbeing of all of Puerto Rico.

The Secretary also expressed his deep affection for our Jewish community and his strong support for Israel, while emphasizing that our community is a home for everyone, irrespective of politics or background.

We are truly grateful for his warmth, acceptance, friendship, and embrace of our community. May G-d bless Secretary Vázquez with continued success in his leadership and in his service to the people of Puerto Rico. 🇵🇷🇮🇱

A little Shvitz, a little cold plunge, some jacuzzi time — and plenty of good conversation and laughs. 💨🧊

A beautiful evening of friendship and connection at Las Ruinas in Old San Juan.

A special thank you to Max and the Las Ruinas team for hosting and creating such a unique experience. 🙏

🌿 We also explored the deeper meaning of the Arava (willow). On the surface, it has neither taste nor fragrance, traditionally representing the Jew who seems to lack both the richness of Torah knowledge and the distinction of exceptional deeds.

And yet, remarkably, it is precisely the humble Arava that has its own unique celebration on the final day of Sukkot — revealing that beneath what may appear simple lies a profound purity of faith and an essential connection to Hashem that transcends both intellect and accomplishment.

A meaningful message — and a beautiful Shvitz shared together. ✨

🙏 What a wonderful privilege it was to spend such a meaningful and uplifting Yom Kippur together with our beautiful communities in Isla Verde and Dorado — surrounded by beloved friends, familiar faces, and new families joining together with us.

✨ We prayed, we fasted, we reflected — and then had the joy of coming together for a beautiful Break-Fast, sharing good food, warm conversation, smiles, and friendship.

As we emerge from Yom Kippur renewed and inspired, may the year ahead be filled with good health, happiness, blessing, peace, and abundant reasons to smile. May the beautiful moments we shared be the beginning of many more wonderful memories together throughout 5787 (תשפ״ז) — the new Hebrew year whose letters can beautifully be read as:

✨ תהא זו שנת פלאות — May this be a Year of Wonders.

With warmest wishes for a year filled with revealed goodness and blessings for us all. 🙏✨

Shalom Friends,

As we stand at the threshold of a new year, we pray that it be filled with life, health, peace, and an ever-deeper appreciation for the blessings we have been given.

In the beloved words of Avinu Malkeinu, recited on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, “Aseh imanu tzedakah vachesed” — we ask Hashem not only to bestow kindness upon us, but also to enable us to bring kindness into the lives of others.

To give is Divine, and perhaps one of our greatest aspirations is to live more divinely within our very human lives.

May this be a year in which we rise above obstacles, recognize the precious gift of each day, love more deeply, give more generously, and use the unique gifts Hashem has entrusted to each of us to make a lasting difference.

May we be blessed to receive Hashem’s goodness and to serve as His messengers in sharing that goodness with others.

Wishing you and your loved ones a year of health, happiness, harmony, abundant blessings, and only revealed good.

Shana Tova U’Metuka — may we live more divinely in the year ahead.

With warmest wishes,

Rabbi Mendel & Rachel Zarchi
Rabbi Levi & Mushkie Zarchi

🌸 The Jewish Women’s Circle of Puerto Rico gathered for a beautiful evening of creativity, inspiration, and meaningful connection.

Together, we designed Hafrashat Challah wooden plaques, burning the blessing into the wood and adding beautiful details that bring this timeless mitzvah to life — connecting Jewish women across generations and bringing holiness into our homes.

✨ Rachel spoke about the meaning of Hafrashat Challah — how something as simple as preparing dough can become a holy act, transforming an everyday moment into an opportunity for blessing, prayer, and connection to G-d.

✨ Mushkie shared an inspiring thought about this year’s Rosh Hashanah falling on Shabbos — and how the holiness of Shabbos itself accomplishes what the shofar usually awakens: a deeper faith, surrender, and connection to Hashem.

Shana Tova U’Metuka! 🍎🍯
