Looking for a meaningful way to grow in faith together? ✨

The Rosary Series from Catholic Scouting America offers youth, adult leaders, and families a unique opportunity to explore the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary while earning commemorative patches!

Here’s why your Scout or family should participate:
Deepen Your Faith & Scripture Knowledge — Connect each Mystery directly to Scripture and learn the history and spiritual power behind traditional Catholic devotions.
Strengthen Family Bonds — Designed for all age levels so parents, grandparents, and youth can pray, learn, and earn patches together at home.
Open to Everyone — Fully inclusive for Scouts and non-Scouts, Catholic and non-Catholic youth and adults alike. Work at your own pace individually or as a unit!
Live Your "Duty to God" — Put Scouting values into practice in a tangible, rewarding way that brings prayer into daily life.

There are five activity patches available: Pray the Rosary, Joyful Mysteries, Luminous Mysteries, Sorrowful Mysteries, and Glorious Mysteries.

Celebrate 100 Years of Faith & Service with the Ad Altare Dei Emblem!

Did you know that 2026 marks the 100th anniversary of the Ad Altare Dei religious emblem? First awarded in 1926—and later becoming the very first religious award recognized on the Scouting uniform—this historic program continues to inspire young Catholics today!

Designed for members of Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Sea Scouts (ages 13–14+), Ad Altare Dei (To the Altar of God) guides youth in developing a fully Christian way of life rooted in their faith community and the Seven Sacraments.

Why encourage your Scout to earn it?
• Deepens Sacramental Faith: Helps Scouts grow closer to God by exploring the seven sacraments as primary sources of spiritual strength.
• Mentorship & Fellowship: Completed with an approved facilitator over 6 to 8 months, fostering meaningful group discussions, journal reflections, and parish engagement.
• A Century-Old Honor: Earns the emblem medal, the official Scouting America religious square knot, and helps fulfill eligibility for Catholic Scouting college scholarships!

Talk with your Scout, unit leader, or parish coordinator to find a trained facilitator and pick up the Ad Altare Dei Youth Manual through the Catholic Scouting America store or local Scout Shop. https://nccsshop.org/product/ad-altare-dei-youth-manual/

Help your Scout take this transformative step toward the altar of God!

Manadas y Tropas interesados en realizar los emblemas religiosos de su fe, pueden enviar mensaje para orientación

Looking to help the youth in your troop or pack grow deeper in their faith journey? Your Scout unit needs a Religious Emblem Counselor!

Having a counselor in every unit ensures that Scouts have a direct mentor and clear pathway to earn their Catholic Religious Emblems—whether they are working on Light of Christ, Parvuli Dei, Ad Altare Dei, Light is Life, or Pope Pius XII.

Why Earning Religious Emblems Matters for Scouts:

Faith in Action: Helps Scouts connect the Scout Oath and Law to their everyday Catholic values and personal spiritual life.

Grounded Growth: Offers an age-appropriate structure for youth to learn more about the sacraments, Scripture, and Catholic traditions.

Recognition: Allows Scouts to proudly live their faith and wear the Scouting America Religious Knot on their uniform.

You don't need a degree in theology to serve—just a willing heart and a commitment to guiding young people.

To get started and learn more about counselor training and requirements, reach out to your local Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting today! https://catholicscoutingamerica.org/download/diocesan-catholic-committee-contacts/
