Humanatease Healing & Arts

Humanatease Healing & Arts Human@Ease Healing & Arts is a Puerto Rican led grassroots nonprofit initiative currently being developed in Añasco, Puerto Rico.

Our mission is to create a community centered retreat and creative wellness space focused on healthier living, nutrition, creativity, and meaningful human connection. The intention is to make wellness oriented experiences more accessible to individuals and communities who may typically find high end retreats and healing spaces financially out of reach or inaccessible. The project is currently in t

he building phase and will eventually include retreat spaces, creative workshop areas, gardens, and community centered programming rooted in healing, education, expression, and reconnecting with land and culture. Follow along as we continue bringing the project to life and building the next phase of Human@Ease. Support the project below:

Every big vision is built through a thousand small moments.

Digging. Lifting. Measuring. Learning. Problem solving. Showing up day after day, even when the finish line still feels far away.
It's often the small, seemingly ordinary moments that end up creating the most extraordinary outcomes.

Little by little, the Human@Ease Carpita Village will take shape, and I'm excited to keep sharing the journey with you.

💚 Want to be part of what's next?

We're looking for volunteer builders to join us in Puerto Rico this August as we continue bringing this vision to life. Whether you're local, willing to travel, or know someone who might be interested, we'd love to hear from you. Send me a DM for more information.

If you can't join us in person, you can still make a meaningful impact by supporting our GoFundMe (link in bio). Every contribution helps us continue building Human@Ease Healing & Arts.

A heartfelt thank you to our most recent donors for believing in this vision and helping make it possible. ❤️

And thank you to everyone who's been following, sharing, encouraging, and cheering us on. Every bit of support brings us one step closer to making Human@Ease Healing & Arts a reality. 🌿🏡

We quickly realized carrying these gravel bags one by one wasn't going to be the smartest plan. 😅

So Peppita Ponita Bambina and I came up with a better one.

Sometimes the fastest way forward isn't working harder. It's stepping back long enough to find a smarter solution.

Whether you're building a retreat center or building a life, being resourceful will always beat being stubborn.

One problem solved. On to the next. 💪🌿

If you'd like to be part of the next phase of the Human@Ease build, we're looking for volunteer builders to join us in Puerto Rico this August. Whether you're local or willing to travel, we'd love to have you. Send me a DM for more information.

If you can't join us in person, you can still help move this vision forward by supporting our GoFundMe. Every contribution helps us continue building Human@Ease Healing & Arts.

And a special thank you to our most recent donors for believing in this vision and helping make it possible. Your generosity is helping turn this dream into reality. ❤️ Latingrammie

It's funny how often life reminds us that the work nobody sees is usually the work that matters most.

Hours spent measuring, adjusting, pulling strings, and making sure everything is perfectly square before a single yard of concrete is ever poured.

The same is true in life.

Strong foundations aren't accidents. Whether you're building a home, a business, or a life, what happens beneath the surface determines everything that comes next.

These photos capture us laying out the forms for the future Carpita slab. It's not the flashiest part of the build, but it's one of the most important. Getting the layout right means everything that follows has a solid foundation to stand on.

It's been a long road, but little by little, this vision is becoming a reality. Every day on site reminds me that meaningful things take time, patience, and a willingness to keep moving forward, even when the progress feels slow.

If you'd like to be part of the next phase, we're looking for volunteer builders to join us in Puerto Rico this August. Whether you're local, willing to travel, or know someone who might be interested, we'd love to have you. If you can't join us in person, you can still support the project through our GoFundMe (link in bio).

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who's supported this journey so far. Every donation, every share, every encouraging message, and every helping hand has brought us one step closer to making Human@Ease Healing & Arts a reality. 💚🏡

In 2022, I bought this property with a dream of creating Human@Ease Healing & Arts. My vision has always been to create a place where people can gather, heal, create, and reconnect with themselves, each other, and nature. It's been one hell of a journey.

I've worked through multiple contractors, construction delays, island bureaucracy, and more curveballs than I ever expected. At times, it's felt like this project has been teaching me patience whether I wanted the lesson or not. 😅
This house was supposed to be finished over a year ago, and realistically it may still take another year. But for the first time in a long time, it finally feels like we're building momentum.

The main house is fully funded, and seeing real progress on site has been incredibly motivating. There's been a lot of sweat equity, persistence, and faith poured into this project already. When things get overwhelming, I come back to these renderings. They remind me why I started and help me picture what's waiting on the other side of all the hard work.

Some dreams take longer than expected. That doesn't make them any less worth chasing.

We're currently looking for volunteer builders to join us in Puerto Rico this August as we continue building the Carpita village on another part of the property. If you're local, willing to travel, or know someone who might be interested, send me a DM!

If you'd rather support the project from wherever you are, we'd be so grateful for a contribution to our GoFundMe (link in bio) Every donation helps move the next phase forward. https://gofund.me/782619151

Human@Ease Healing & Arts is a Puerto Rican-led nonprofit community initiative currently being developed in Añasco.

We’re currently looking for volunteers from June 5-10 to help with the next phase of our community build initiative.

The current scope will focus on laying out the groundwork and foundation for small microcabins (“carpitas”), including layout work, digging holes, and pouring concrete for a total of 26 footings.

The larger vision behind the project is creating a more accessible community-centered wellness, arts, and sustainability space rooted in creativity, healthier food practices, cultural connection, and community engagement.

We’re especially looking for people with prior experience in community builds, construction, woodworking, concrete work, farming, gardening, or related hands-on work, but we’re also open to volunteers who simply feel aligned with the mission and want to contribute.

The project site is located in Añasco.

Water, light snacks, and safety equipment will be available onsite.

If you’re interested in volunteering, please fill out our volunteer interest form below and someone from our team will reach out within 24 hours:

Nelson Mandela – affectionately known as “Madiba”, his Xhosa clan name - fought against the racist apartheid system in his homeland, and for equality and freedom for all people.

Like him, human@ease promotes the notion that wellness and healing flourish in the supportive presence of others.

Although our paths are all different, our stories are lessons, and our experiences are inspirations. Together, we can generate the energy of compassion and HOPE to renew into happier, healthier, more realized individuals.

Some people will just never be motivated or interested to step foot into a gym. In contrast, home workouts can be just as effective for getting the exercise you need to bring your fitness level to an optimal state.

Whether you have formal exercise equipment or not, you can still accomplish a great workout with some everyday household items and a well-balanced routine.

If you have small children, you can even get them involved in movements by carefully and slowly lifting them up and down or even piggybacking them to sit and stand.

Try out some of these standard household items in your workout routine or join us every Monday and Thursday at 7pm EST to learn how to get a full body workout just using some of these items.

Find our classes in the link in our bio.

🧠We define mindfulness as: non-judgmental self-awareness. It has been shown that making an effort to bring non-judgmental self-awareness to our day improves mental clarity, boosts our sense of gratitude, and improves our ability to manifest desirable outcomes.

⏰️ Set a self-awareness alarm! This way, you build a routine of finding your inner calm, checking in with yourself non-judgmentally, and assessing where you're at, what you need, and where you're going. If you can make this a routine, you will do that much more to boost positive outcomes in your day-to-day life!
