What is biometrics, how does it work and what does its future look like? ⚙️

💬 “There are already projects where biometrics is used for payments. One of the American companies introduces the method of payment by hand scan. A Polish startup from Wrocław is testing payments with a glance, for which it uses a fusion of facial and eye scans. In practice, it works by looking at a terminal equipped with a biometric sensor and paying by looking.” - says dr Mateusz Trokielewicz, adding that in the near future it is the mergers of different methods that will give the best identification.

Today, we attended the conference 'Research Institutes as Satellites Supporting Business Internationalization'. During the event, a ceremonial agreement was signed regarding cooperation between the Global Biometrics Council Association and the Polish Investment and Trade Agency 🤝

Today, Barbara Mróz-Gorgoń, the President of the Global Biometrics Council, Ph.D., Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny we Wrocławiu prof, attended an event organised by Mastercard called "Usability or Data Privacy - An Old Dilemma in a New Reality".

During the event, speaker Arek Szulczynski discussed various topics including customer choices, online privacy in the context of AI, market competition, and trust in online commerce. He also highlighted the benefits of biometric payments, which are considered to be the most secure and convenient option according to data and forecasts.

The catalog of possibilities for using biometrics continues to grow. In an interview with Radio Wrocław, Barbara Mróz-Gorgoń, President of Global Biometrics Council talked about biometric solutions, such as the use of iris and face biometrics fusion in commercial payments. Such a solution is offered by the revolutionary fintech PayEye, which provides biometric terminals that allows payments with a glance.
