📚 Lead with Stories – Toastmasters Wrocław

Last Wednesday we explored the power of storytelling in business using the 6C Method—and asked: Does it really work at work?
The answer: absolutely!

From pitching ideas to salary talks, our speakers showed how a clear, structured story makes messages more persuasive. Table Topics brought real workplace scenarios, quick thinking, and plenty of creativity.

An evening full of learning, laughter, and great stories.

🌍 Evaluating Across Cultures – A Powerful Toastmasters Session! 🎤✨

At our last Wednesday’s meeting, we explored one of the most fascinating aspects of leadership and communication: how to evaluate across cultures.

A simple evaluation framework that Toastmasters considers best practice has been shared, but we quickly discovered that in a multicultural environment like ours, “best practice” isn’t always one-size-fits-all. Our club’s cultural richness makes our evaluations far more sophisticated than those in more homogeneous clubs.

We discussed how a direct evaluation style that feels perfectly normal—even helpful—in one country can be seen as harsh or unprofessional in another. 🌐💬

Together, we learned how to adjust our feedback so it resonates across different cultural expectations. By doing this, we’re not only becoming better evaluators—we’re growing into more effective leaders in a global environment.

So proud of our club for embracing these deeper conversations! 🙌✨

🎉 Victory Alert – A Proud (and Seriously Fun!) Day for Our Club! 🎉

We’re bursting with excitement after an unforgettable weekend at the District-level Toastmasters Contest in Poznań!

🌟 Kabilan Selvamani didn’t just stop at winning 1st place in Humorous Speeches — oh no. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, he also snagged the Audience Choice Award! Apparently, making an entire district laugh and vote for you is just a casual Saturday for Kabi. 😄
🌟 Michał Furmankiewicz secured an impressive 3rd place in Table Topics, showcasing sharp thinking and confident delivery under pressure.

What made the day even more special? Our club came together, traveling as one team to Poznań to support and cheer for our contestants. The energy, unity, and encouragement in the room were truly unforgettable.

Kabi will move on to the next level of competition in spring! 😎😎😎😎

✨ What a night at Toastmasters! ✨
Our latest meeting was one of our classic Storytelling events, this time themed “The Fear of Failure.”

From the very start, the atmosphere was relaxed and casual—exactly the kind of space where creativity can flow freely. And it did! We had plenty of spontaneous moments and improvisations, not only from our members but also from our amazing guests who jumped right in with enthusiasm.

The stories shared were honest, personal, and inspiring—reminding us that failure isn’t the end, but often the beginning of growth. 💡❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening so engaging and memorable. If you’ve ever been curious about Toastmasters, this was the perfect example of what our meetings are all about: connection, courage, and a lot of laughter.

✨ Another Inspiring Toastmasters Evening! ✨
Last meeting was a wonderful blend of learning, laughter, and personal growth. We enjoyed engaging prepared speeches that offered fresh perspectives and real motivation. Our communication games brought plenty of energy to the room, helping everyone sharpen their skills in a fun and creative way.
And of course, the highlight for many was our unexpected improvisation sessions — a great reminder that confidence often comes from stepping outside our comfort zone!

We are beyond proud to announce that Kabilan Salvamani and Michał Furmankiewicz have each claimed 1st place at last Saturday’s Toastmasters Area Contest — in Humorous Speeches and Table Topics, respectively!
