The Quiet Tech Project
Start Here: Building the Stack
We’re beginning a new series called The Quiet Tech Project.
It’s an experiment inside our organization to answer a simple question:
What does it look like to build a creative life and small organization in a post–big tech world?
Over the past year we’ve been slowly replacing tools that collect data, push advertising, or lock organizations into complicated platforms.
Instead we’re exploring smaller, transparent, and often European-built tools that help us run our programs while respecting privacy and independence.
The first tool in our new stack is Fakturownia.
Fakturownia is a Polish invoicing platform that helps small organizations issue invoices, manage payments, and stay organized without the complexity of large corporate accounting systems.
For a small NGO like ours, invoicing used to mean juggling spreadsheets, PDFs, and accounting emails. Fakturownia makes that process simple and clean.
So far it just works. It has plenty of language settings and it is all set up for the new accounting changes with KSeF.
Even better, the company offers generous discounts for non-profit organizations, which makes a real difference for small cultural projects like ours.
We’re grateful for their support as we rebuild our infrastructure.
If you run a small organization, arts program, or creative business in Poland, it’s worth taking a look.
Thank you Fakturownia for supporting independent cultural organizations.
This is Post #1 of The Quiet Tech Project.
More tools, experiments, and lessons coming soon.
