Czy wartość produktu tkwi w jego posiadaniu, czy w dostępie do jego funkcji? 🤔

W najnowszym odcinku podcastu „Biznes o cyrkularności – rozmowy z liderami zmian” przyglądamy się modelowi Product-as-a-Service (PaaS), który coraz mocniej zmienia sposób myślenia o biznesie i gospodarce o obiegu zamkniętym.

W rozmowie udział wzięli:

Wspólnie pokazaliśmy, jak firmy skutecznie oferują dostęp do funkcji produktu w modelu usługowym - od systemów poolingu opakowań wielokrotnego użytku po kompleksowe usługi zarządzania tekstyliami dla biznesu.

To podejście zmienia wszystko:
🔄 produkt przestaje być „jednorazową sprzedażą”, a staje się usługą w cyklu życia
📦 maksymalizuje się wykorzystanie zasobów
📊 rośnie przewidywalność kosztów i jakości po stronie klientów
🌱 a środowisko zyskuje dzięki ograniczeniu odpadów i lepszemu zarządzaniu zasobami

Model PaaS udowadnia, że cyrkularność może być nie tylko ideą, ale realnym i skalowalnym modelem biznesowym. Rozmowa pokazała, że gospodarka obiegu zamkniętego dzieje się tu i teraz – w konkretnych firmach, które już dziś zmieniają rynek.

Cykl podcastów powstał we współpracy z dziennikiem Rzeczpospolita w ramach projektu Polska Agencja Rozwoju Przedsiębiorczości (PARP). Projekt współfinansowany jest z Europejskiego Funduszu Rozwoju Regionalnego w ramach programu Fundusze Europejskie dla Polski Wschodniej (FEPW) 2021–2027.

💡 What does it really take to build a circular future for Europe? Key takeaways from Agnieszka Sznyk’s presentation at BUILD'N GREEN 2026 👇

We are still only ~7% circular globally – and this is not improving. At the same time, scaling renewable energy often means scaling extraction, material use and waste.

👉 We are solving one problem while creating another.
That’s why circularity and the energy transition must go hand in hand.

Environmental technologies are already part of the solution. Projects like Nymphe show how we can use nature to clean soil and water and recover value from waste, while initiatives like CEsynergy focus on connecting circularity with the energy transition.

At the same time, digital intelligence (AI, digital twins) helps us design and optimize complex systems – but also requires responsible use.

Brussels this week became the heart of Europe’s circular economy debate during the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform Annual Conference 2026.

💡 One message stood out across all sessions:
Europe does not lack innovation. It lacks scale, integration, and aligned market conditions.

As discussions around the upcoming Circular Economy Act (CEA) intensify, it is clear that Europe is entering a new phase - where circular economy, bioeconomy and the Single Market must work as one system.

🔑 Key takeaways:
➡️ Circular economy is central to EU competitiveness and strategic autonomy
➡️ Bioeconomy is moving from niche to system-level transformation
➡️ The biggest barrier is the “second valley of death” – scaling solutions to the market
➡️ Without a true “One Market”, circular solutions will not scale

We were proud to actively contribute to this important dialogue.
Agnieszka Sznyk, as ECESP Co-Chair, moderated a session on bioeconomy. INNOWO, as coordinator of Leadership Group #2 “Advancing an integrated circular bioeconomy”, presented its priorities for the coming years during both a workshop and at the booth.

At the same time, we showcased the Nymphe project - demonstrating how can deliver real, scalable solutions to environmental challenges.

The direction is clear. Now it’s time to move from ambition to implementation.

CIRCULAR WEEK 2026 is on the horizon! 🔥
This year’s edition promises to be truly special – and we have big news: Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production - CSCP is joining as co-organizer! 👏

The CSCP is an international, non-profit think and do tank. Together with companies, policy makers, and civil society actors, the CSCP pursues its mission to mainstream sustainability towards enabling the good life for all.

With its collaborative approach, the CSCP accelerates change based on the special expertise of the Centre in the following areas: Lifestyles & Behaviour, Infrastructure, Products & Services, Business& Entrepreneurship and Policy.

As Michael Kuhndt, Executive Director of the CSCP puts it: “At the CSCP we know from experience that no one can become circular alone. That’s why we are excited to be a co-host of this year’s Circular Week and bring together all relevant actors – cities, businesses, and communities – to create solutions that work on the ground and help turn EU ambitions into urban realities."

🌍 CIRCULAR WEEK 2026 – 26–31 October 2026

Moving to a circular economy through collaboration, legislation, and platforms is a vital step towards sustainability, less waste, and more value.

We are living in a time of overlapping crises - trade tensions, geopolitical instability, and escalating conflicts. At the same time, rising material consumption continues to accelerate environmental degradation.

For businesses, this means increasing costs, uncertainty, and pressure to adapt. In this context, the transition to a circular economy is no longer optional – it is a strategic necessity.

- In this world, moving to a circular economy is a vital step in the right direction. Because with circularity comes sustainability, less waste, and more value. Less pressure on struggling ecosystems, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and greater competitiveness. But real circularity depends on real collaboration – Jessica Roswall, EU Commissioner for Environment, Water Resilience and a Competitive Circular Economy, during the opening of the European Sustainability Congress 2025

Achieving this, however, requires alignment across sectors, policies and markets. That’s where and the European Sustainability Congress come in.
