Warsaw Security Forum at the Munich Security Conference 2026
As a partner of the Munich Security Conference, the Warsaw Security Forum took part in amid growing strain on the international order. Held under the theme Under Destruction, the Conference underscored the erosion of the post-Cold War security architecture and Europe’s responsibility for Ukraine’s security as inseparable from its own. In this context, WSF contributed to the Conference’s core debates by convening the Main Stage panel “Holding the Line: Defending Europe and Supporting Ukraine”, moderated by Katarzyna Pisarska, Chair of the Warsaw Security Forum.
The panel brought together senior European and transatlantic leaders:
- Gitanas Nausėda, President of the Republic of Lithuania
- Boris Pistorius, Federal Minister of Defence of Germany
- Radosław Sikorski, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland
- Taras Kachka, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine
- Elissa Slotkin, U.S. Senator and Member of the Senate Committee on Armed Services
The exchange focused on reinforcing NATO’s deterrence on the eastern flank, accelerating Europe’s defence readiness, and placing Ukraine at the centre of European security, as only credible deterrence and sustained pressure can enable meaningful peace negotiations.
For the fourth consecutive year, the Warsaw Security Forum also convened a high-level, closed-door dinner on the margins of the Munich Security Conference. Held as an official side-event under the title “No Time to Lose: Mapping Europe’s Chances to Win the War Before the War”, the dinner provided a trusted, off-the-record setting for candid strategic reflection on Europe’s security choices and the future of the transatlantic alliance.
The dinner gathered over 30 senior political and security leaders, including:
- Petr Pavel, President of the Czech Republic
- Mette Frederiksen, Prime Minister of Denmark
- Kaja Kallas, Vice-President and High Representative of the European Commission

- Tore O. Sandvik, Minister of Defence of Norway
- Roger Wicker, U.S. Senator, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Armed Services
- Christopher Murphy, U.S. Senator, Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee
