On June 9, 2026, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of Thailand to Poland presided over the awarding ceremony of the new "Thai SELECT" certificate to three "PaTaThai" restaurants located in the heart of Warsaw, Poland; PaTaThai Elektrownia /Powisle, PaTaThai Mokotów and PaTaThai Żoliborz.

"PaTaThai" managed by Polish brothers Kacper and Hubert, has achieved remarkable success in serving authentic Thai cuisine to Polish customers. Their Thai chefs and kitchen team meticulously prepare authentic Thai dishes, highlighting the distinctive flavors of Thai spices and herbs. The restaurant's interior is decorated in a natural, airy, and comfortable style, creating a friendly and informal atmosphere, subtly enhanced by charming Thai decorations such as Bo Sang umbrellas. It is really the place where customers experience the true charm of Thai culture and lifestyle.

"PaTaThai" continues to promote the popularity of Thai cuisine in Poland, in collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy and the Thai Trade Center in Warsaw. Soon, "PaTaThai" plans to include two more branches – PaTaThai Radom south of Warsaw, and PaTaThai in Gdansk, a major port and tourist city on the Baltic Sea coast – in the "Thai SELECT" program.

The Department of the International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, remains committed to elevating the reputation of Thai restaurants abroad, gaining recognition and credibility from both Thai and international consumers through the Thai SELECT certification. This award is given to Thai restaurants that maintain the unique flavors of Thai cuisine, utilize distinctive Thai ingredients and herbs, and provide friendly services. Over the past few years, there has been a continuous increase in a number of Thai restaurants in Poland applying for the "Thai SELECT" certificate. Currently, there are 16 "Thai SELECT" restaurants nationwide.

The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, continues to enhance the potential of Thai food on the global trade stage by promoting Thai entrepreneurs and quality food products bearing the “Thai SELECT” symbol at THAIFEX - ANUGA ASIA 2026, Asia's leading food and beverage trade fair, under the "Thai SELECT Pavilion" from May 26-30, 2026, at booth CC01, Hall 9, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani.

Through this participation, DITP aims to help Thai entrepreneurs expand their trade opportunities in international markets by promoting Thai food products bearing the “Thai SELECT” symbol, a certification mark for authentic Thai taste and international standards. The Thai SELECT Pavilion showcases over 430 high-quality Thai export-grade food products from 131 leading Thai companies, covering a wide range of categories. This includes ready-to-eat meals, ready-to-cook meals, curry pastes, seasonings, sauces, dips, snacks, ice cream, and beverages, to meet the needs of modern consumers who prioritize quality, convenience, and distinctive flavors.

Throughout the five-day event, you will experience “See, Taste, Share” through product tasting, menu demonstrations, and direct interaction with brand owners. This is a key mechanism used by DITP to build awareness, expand business networks, and concretely promote the soft power of Thai food.
