W środę, 6 maja, Paul Ramsay Gogolinski, Prezes St. Andrews Foundation Warsaw, wraz z członkiem Zarządu Iainem Haggisem, miał zaszczyt przekazać czek na kwotę 50 000 zł Jolancie Czarneckiej-Siweckiej, Prezes Fundacji Iskierka. Darowizna przyczyni się do zakupu nowej karetki wspierającej dzieci i młodzież przechodzące leczenie onkologiczne.
W skład Zarządu St. Andrews Foundation wchodzą również Iain Leyden, David Kennedy oraz Katarzyna Udd.
Dodatkowo St. Andrews Foundation przekaże darowizny sześciu innym organizacjom wspierającym osoby niepełnosprawne, chore, znajdujące się w trudnej sytuacji życiowej oraz potrzebujące pomocy w całej Polsce.
Środki zostały zebrane podczas jubileuszowego, 10. Charytatywnego Ceilidhu St. Andrews Foundation, który odbył się w listopadzie, dzięki niezwykłej hojności naszych sponsorów, darczyńców i gości.
Chcielibyśmy również wyrazić nasze serdeczne podziękowania British Embassy Warsaw za patronat nad naszym wydarzeniem przez ostatnie trzy lata. Wielkim zaszczytem było dla nas również gościć Ambasador Dame Melindę Simmons DCMG jako Gościa Honorowego wydarzenia.
To wsparcie nie byłoby możliwe bez wyjątkowego zaangażowania naszych sponsorów, w tym Domu Whisky (United Beverages), Browaru Perła oraz Mielżyński Wines, a także darczyńców, w tym Sand Valley Golf Resort, Dom Volvo i Range Rover, którzy przekazali nagrody i upominki na naszą loterię oraz aukcję charytatywną. Ogromne podziękowania należą się również wszystkim osobom pracującym niestrudzenie za kulisami, które poświęcają swój czas, energię i zaangażowanie, aby każdego roku pomóc w organizacji wydarzenia.
Przez ostatnie 10 lat St. Andrews Foundation z dumą wspierała wiele ważnych inicjatyw, w tym współfinansowanie ośrodka hipoterapii w TPD Helenów, pomoc w finansowaniu ambulansów oraz wyposażenia sal operacyjnych dla młodych pacjentów onkologicznych za pośrednictwem Fundacji Iskierka. Z wdzięcznością wspominamy również współzałożyciela i pierwszego Prezesa Bena Bannatyne’a oraz współzałożyciela i Skarbnika Alexandra (Sandy’ego) Hilla McMillana, których wizja i zaangażowanie pomogły stworzyć Fundację. Tartan McMillan do dziś pozostaje częścią oficjalnego tartanu St. Andrews Foundation.
Jesteśmy dumni, że możemy wspierać tych, którzy najbardziej tego potrzebują, jednocześnie promując kulturę szkocką oraz celebrując przyjaźń i wieloletnie więzi łączące Szkocję i Polskę.
Już dziś z niecierpliwością oczekujemy kolejnego Charytatywnego Ceilidhu, który odbędzie się w sobotę, 28 listopada — więcej informacji już wkrótce.

On Wednesday, 6 May, Paul Ramsay Gogolinski, President of the St. Andrews Foundation Warsaw, together with Board Member Iain Haggis, had the honour of presenting a cheque for 50,000 PLN to Jolanta Czarnecka-Siwecka, President of the Iskierka Foundation. The donation will contribute towards the purchase of a replacement ambulance supporting children and young people undergoing cancer treatment. In addition, St. Andrews Foundation will provide donations to six other organisations supporting disabled, ill, disadvantaged and vulnerable people across Poland. The St. Andrews Foundation Board also includes Iain Leyden, David Kennedy and Katarzyna Udd.
The funds were raised during the 10th Anniversary St. Andrews Foundation Charity Ceilidh held in November, thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, donors and guests.
We would also like to express our sincere thanks to the British Embassy in Warsaw for its patronage over the past three years. It was a great honour to welcome Ambassador Dame Melinda Simmons DCMG as our Guest of Honour at the event.
This support would not be possible without the outstanding commitment of our sponsors, including Dom Whisky (United Beverages), Perła Beer and Mielżyński Wines, together with donors including Sand Valley Golf Resort, Dom Volvo and Range Rover, who contributed prizes and gifts for our raffle and charity auction. Huge thanks also go to all those working tirelessly behind the scenes who give up their time, energy and commitment to help organise the event each year.
Over the past 10 years, the St. Andrews Foundation has proudly supported a number of important initiatives, including co-funding the hippotherapy centre at TPD Helenów, helping finance ambulances and providing operating theatre equipment for young cancer patients through the Iskierka Foundation. We also remember with gratitude co-founder and first President Ben Bannatyne, together with co-founder and Treasurer Alexander (Sandy) Hill McMillan, whose vision and dedication helped create the Foundation. The McMillan tartan remains part of the official St. Andrews Foundation tartan to this day.
We are proud to support those most in need while promoting Scottish culture and celebrating the friendship and long-standing ties between Scotland and Poland.
