🇪🇺 Europe Day just hits different when you’ve experienced it through Erasmus 🌍

New countries, random bus rides, shared kitchens, friendships in 5 languages and memories that somehow turn strangers into family 💙

Mobility is more than travelling, it’s learning how to connect, understand and grow together.
Today we celebrate a Europe that brings people closer and creates space for experiences that stay with us for life.

Happy Europe Day ✨️

Words shape how we understand the world around us.
Understanding what we can do and how our actions impact the communities we live in matters. Local engagement is more than big initiatives or formal spaces; it’s about everyday participation, dialogue, showing up where you are and speaking out.

You go abroad for studies… but come back with so much more!

According to ESNsurvey, mobility helps students develop skills that stay with them long after the experience ends:

💡 communication
💡 adaptability
💡 independence
💡 intercultural understanding

It’s not just about the experience, it’s about who you become because of it 🤍

Mobility is more than memories. It’s personal and professional growth.

So if you’re thinking about going abroad:
don’t just go - grow!

Opportunities like Erasmus+ Programme are there for you.
Make the most of them!

And to those who already got back:
What skill did YOU gain during your mobility?

We asked young people where the power of democracy lies.
For democracy to be strong and inclusive, it is crucial that young people feel empowered to engage, participate, question, and take action in their communities.
That’s why projects like matter: they turn these values into lived experience through local trainings, dialogue, and youth-led action that builds confidence, challenges stereotypes, and strengthens active citizenship.

During the Local Phase in Italy that took place in the fall of 2025, young people actively practised engaging in the democratic life of the EU within their local communities, enabling them to publicly exchange their views on EU actions with local political authorities and decision-makers.
We asked them to share their reflections, and their messages show that when young people are given space to , democracy becomes more responsive, inclusive, and grounded in real community needs.
Listening to youth is not optional; it is essential for Europe’s democratic future.

Local action begins with small steps: listening, learning, asking questions, and getting involved in ways that feel meaningful to you. Every action contributes to building more inclusive and connected communities.

Yet many young people want to get involved but don’t always feel included, informed, or heard. Barriers like stereotypes, misinformation, and a lack of accessible spaces can make participation feel difficult or out of reach.

That’s why the project aims to use local engagement as a tool to promote inclusion, intercultural dialogue, and active citizenship. By creating spaces for learning, dialogue, and participation, the project supports young people in becoming active members of their communities, not just observers.

Last weekend, another edition of the National Erasmus Games came to an end. From 27-29th March, participants from across Poland, representing 8regions, gathered in Kraków to compete in three disciplines: futsal, volleyball and 3x3 basketball. This year’s edition brought together around 180 participants who came to Poland from 34 different countries! 🔥🎉

The winning teams are:
🏐 Volleyball – team from the Wrocław region
🏀 Basketball – team from the Warsaw + Lublin region
⚽️ Futsal – team from the Warsaw + Lublin region

In each discipline, the best individual players of the tournament were also chosen, with the MVP titles awarded in both the women’s and men’s categories.

The winners of each discipline earned the opportunity to represent Poland at the international final of the International Erasmus Games in Porto, taking place from 28-31st May. 🇵🇹
The event was further enhanced by performances from the AGH cheerleading team, whom we would like to sincerely thank for their presence! 📣

The event would not have been possible without our partners:
- City of Kraków
- InPost
- VolleyCAMPS

The event was held under the patronage of:
- Ministry of Sport and Tourism
- TVP3 Kraków
- dlaStudenta.pl
It was also a public task co-financed by the Małopolskie Voivodeship.
