Today, we dove deep into the heart of NVC to learn about and experience empathy. Many interesting reflections and insights were shared about its essence and various techniques for entering empathic dialogue. We also shared when it is challenging to enter one.

Today, we also want to celebrate contribution, learning, growth, freedom and community, and the abundance of needs met during the day.

Dear group, thank you for your presence today! ❤️

communiCARE is back! Today, we started the 5th edition of our flagship training on empathic communication rooted in NVC by Marshall Rosenberg. The heatwave didn't stop us from exploring our surroundings and ourselves. Today, 22 people started their reflective journey towards peace with themselves, with others, and towards bringing peace to their communities.

And for the third year in a row, we are hosted by our beloved Chutor Gorajec

Hello, hello!
Midsummer is coming and we are very happy to have long, long days, because there is a busy summer ahead of us! In between of international trainings, we are organising some local activities and one of them took place on 6 and 7 of June in Kraków.
That weekend was dedicated to what is closest to our hearts - empathic communication. 11 participants got to know the basics of empathic communication and learnt about "From Conflict to Connection" project, which we are part of for two years already. As you may remember, during this project we were working on a game to support you in thriving through conflicts in the organisational setting and not only. The game is ready and the printable version of it can be downloaded and used for free here: https://www.21napegyesulet.hu/connection.

Many thanks to Renata from Renata Pisze (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61564668924400 #) for visualising our empathic experience!

Do you know how to truly motivate young people? Are teen brains broken? What matter the most to them? And last, but not least, have you ever got yourself "grown-splaining"?
In the freshest podcast episode, Anita Silva and Rui Branco from Team MAIS talk with David Yeager, professor of psychology and the author of famous “10 to 25: The Science of Motivating Young People”. They together explore these big questions and reflect on the importance of human connection while sharing personal stories and examples. This one will make you think more than ever of how you are around young people and children

Our creative journey came to the end. But, did it, though?

The morning was dedicated to finalising and presenting the creative tools and resources developed by participants during the training. It was inspiring to see how many practical ideas emerged from the group and how different experiences, perspectives, and talents came together in the final products.

We also spent time looking ahead, discussing follow up actions and how participants can bring creativity into their youth work, organisations, and everyday lives. Before lunch, the reflection groups met for the last time to harvest key learnings and insights from this shared journey.

In the afternoon, we evaluated the training, gathered for a final circle, and celebrated the end of this learning experience with the Youthpass certificate ceremony.

Big Thank you to all participants for your openness, courage to experiment, creativity, and willingness to learn together. Creativity is contagious, as we could experience during our little gathering, so pass it on!

The fifth day of “Creative training for non-creative youth workers 2.0” was focused on creative problem-solving and turning ideas into practical tools.

Participants worked in groups using different creative thinking techniques to explore real challenges connected to youth work, creativity, AI, and everyday life. It was inspiring to see how many different ideas, perspectives, and solutions appeared through the process.

Later, the groups continued working on their final products, which will become part of a printable booklet for youth workers. The projects include exercises for dealing with creativity killers, inspiration cards, creative manuals for everyday life, interviews, and reflections connected to creativity and AI.

The fourth day of “Creative training for non-creative youth workers 2.0” brought a lot of reflection, creativity, laughter, and meaningful conversations.

We explored together what can support creativity and what sometimes blocks it in our daily lives and work. Through deep conversations and shared reflections, participants had space to look closer at their own creative processes and experiences.

Later, the group was invited to create handmade gifts for different people and situations using only simple and recycled materials. It was beautiful to see how much imagination, humour, care, and personal meaning people put into their creations.

In the evening, we gathered around stories inspired by the sea. Participants brought objects, memories, and small pieces of their imagination, creating a very warm and connected atmosphere full of storytelling and sharing.

The third day of “Creative training for non-creative youth workers 2.0” was dedicated to exploring creativity through different forms.

Participants had the opportunity to experience creative writing, movement, sound, and storytelling, as well as creative drawing activities. The day created space for experimenting, stepping out of comfort zones, and discovering new ways of working with creativity in youth work and educational settings.

The second day of “Creative training for non-creative youth workers 2.0” was dedicated to exploring creativity from different perspectives.

We started the day by challenging common myths about creativity. Participants also explored different theories and models connected to creative thinking and the creative process.

Later, we moved into applied drama activities focused on playfulness and searching for the inner child. In the afternoon, participants created collages inspired by people they see as their creative idols. This opened space for self-reflection, sharing, and expressing ideas and emotions through art.

We finished the day with an Erasmus+ and NGO fair, where participants had the opportunity to present their organisations, projects, and realities.

Today we started the training course “Creative training for non-creative youth workers 2.0”.

The first day was about getting to know each other, creating a safe and supportive group atmosphere, and exploring creativity together. Participants reflected on the journey they are starting as a group through a creative activity at the beach using natural materials.

We also created a group contract, introduced reflection groups, and opened the space for learning, sharing, and experimenting together during the upcoming days.
