Today marks the 100th birthday of Professor Zbigniew Andrzej Pełczyński (ZAP) – founder of our society and a key figure in building and connecting Polish academic and alumni communities in the United Kingdom.

Professor Pełczyński passed away on 22 June 2021, but his motto – “zawsze łączyć” (“always connect”) – remains as relevant and inspiring today as ever.

We are thrilled to announce that Mateusz Kusio has been appointed as the VP Memberships Officer for the Universities of Oxford & Cambridge Alumni Network Poland! 🇵🇱🇬🇧

Mateusz is a distinguished researcher specializing in ancient history, Classical languages, and religious studies. His published works delve into ancient beliefs about the end of the world, showcasing his profound expertise in these fascinating subjects.

Having read Philosophy and Theology at Jesus College, Oxford, Mateusz continued his academic journey with an MPhil and a DPhil in Theology at Wolfson College, Oxford. His dedication and passion for his field are truly inspiring.

Julia graduated from the University of Oxford in 2022, where she was part of the pioneering cohort to complete a Master’s degree in Applied Digital Health at Wolfson College. Her academic journey is equally impressive, with a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from the National University of Singapore and the University of Dundee.
