On May 26 in Riga, representatives of European military academies within (European Initiative for the Exchange of Military Young Officers) unanimously elected Dr. Monika Wysocka, a member of , as EMILYO Vice-President for Human Resources. The meeting brought together 111 representatives of military and academic institutions from across Europe.
This is a landmark appointment, as it marks 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐚 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐘𝐎 - an organisation that has been fostering cooperation between European military academies since 2008, supporting academic exchange, internationalisation of military education, and the development of shared training standards under the “Military Erasmus” framework.
Dr. Wysocka has been actively engaged in internationalisation and Erasmus programmes for over a decade at the Polish Naval Academy, also contributing to KONSMUND and EMILYO working groups on education, strategic communication, and gender equality. Her work has been instrumental in strengthening mobility opportunities for students and staff and advancing European defence education cooperation.
Her election is a recognition of her long-standing commitment and expertise, and it further reinforces the growing role of Polish military education in European structures.
