Dear Friends,

I’d like to share a video with you featuring Gapcio, who was recently rescued. The horse arrived with an infection, which has now been treated, but Gapcio is still in quarantine. This is a necessary precaution to prevent the disease from spreading to the entire herd.
Gapcio is a calm, friendly horse, but he still needs time to build trust. We’re working on this with horse treats.
Once again, thank you very much for helping Gapcio. If it weren’t for you, he wouldn’t be in Benkowo today.

Dear All,

Horka, who was recently rescued, is now in Benkowo. She is currently in quarantine; she still needs to be vaccinated and see the farrier, and then, if there are no contraindications, she will join the herd of rescued horses.
Horka is a very frightened horse; every human movement causes her great anxiety. I don’t know what this horse had to endure, but it certainly wasn’t pleasant. I hope that in time she will stop being afraid and slowly begin to trust that a hand doesn’t strike, but only strokes.

Dear all,
Once again, thank you very much for helping Kasztanek. Thanks to you, this sick foal has been given the chance to live a peaceful life.
Kasztanek is now at home, has completed his quarantine, is well cared for, and has the company of calm horses.
Due to his previous lameness and the associated changes in his joints, he spends part of his time lying down, but he has no problems getting up and is doing very well. He is very sociable and friendly.
He has already had his first hoof correction, has been dewormed, and is awaiting vaccination.

Once again, thank you very much for your help for Kasztanek. I will be back soon with more news.

Dear all,
I apologize for the delay in publishing information about Helenka. In the hustle and bustle of classes and events, constantly on the run, I missed something important, but I am already making amends. Helenka, whom you rescued, is in Benkowo. She underwent quarantine and treatment because she arrived with a cold and fever. Fortunately, the medication, appropriate supplements, food, and care worked, and today this little old lady is a full-fledged resident of the center.
Lameness was also diagnosed; the changes are degenerative, related to wear and tear and age.

The old lady is doing well and is coping fine in the herd. I hope she will spend many, many years in Benków, living as she wants and doing what she likes. We will take care of her as best we can.

Thank you very much for helping to save Helka. She is alive only because you saved her life.

Dear all,
Last October, thanks to your help, a family of three donkeys was saved. After quarantine, the girls joined the herd and are now part of the Benkowa family. Together with the other long-eared animals, they are currently staying in the winter paddock and are doing very well. I invite you to watch a video featuring the whole team. Ladies and Gentlemen,
I cordially invite you to watch a film presenting some of the Polish horses living in Benkowo. The herd you see consists of nearly 35 animals and is kept in a free-range system – that is, in the most natural, healthy, and appropriate way for horses.

The animals have access to shelters, but when they want to take refuge, they often choose the forest instead of the shelters built especially for them. This herd includes Deszczowa, Myszata, Szyszka, and Szaraczek, horses that you have rescued in recent months. They have settled in perfectly and, together with the others, form a harmonious, peaceful group that will move to the pastures in the spring.

Polish horses are extraordinary animals, strong, resilient, very efficient feed converters, intelligent, and with a “good head.” Unfortunately, due to their appearance and small size, they are not popular among private horse owners, which is why many of them end their lives in slaughterhouses.

Those who live in Benków today are the lucky ones. They owe their lives to you, and for that we are extremely grateful every day.

Dear all,
I am catching up on another backlog – and invite you to watch a video featuring Klusek, whom you saved.
After treatment for his leg and quarantine, the horse joined a herd of ponies, settled in well, and now has friends and family. His lameness has completely disappeared, and Klusek is feeling well.
I think he is happy. He doesn't have to work, he doesn't have to carry anyone or fulfill people's whims. He lives the way he wants.

Dear all,
The news many of you have been waiting for – Helena is now part of the herd of horses you have saved. The quarantine went smoothly, with no signs of illness, so the vet decided she could go and meet the other horses.
The mare settled in very well among Benkowo charges, acclimatizing to her new surroundings without any problems.
Helena is very sociable and interested in interacting with people. All you have to do is approach the fence and she immediately comes to see if we have something tasty to offer her. You can tell that this horse was close to people...

Thank you very much for giving her a new life. Thanks to you, Helena is now safe.

Dear all,
I know we have a lot of catching up to do, but the heavy workload, the number of animals, and the winter season—the hardest time of year for Benkowo—mean that I am unable to keep up with everything, for which I apologize. We will gradually post the materials you have been waiting for.
As for Benia and her son, they have been in Benkowo, in Nowa Studnica, for over a month. They arrived with a severe infection and are still recovering. They are still in quarantine. They have finished their antibiotic treatment, but are still receiving special feed, vitamins, and supplements. Their bodies still need support and special care. The good news is that they have finally stopped coughing and no longer have nasal discharge. I hope that they will soon be able to join the herd of horses.

Thank you very much for your help. It is only thanks to your commitment that we were able to buy them, transport them, and provide them with care. Thank you.

Today I am coming to you with some news about Jagódka, whom you rescued in June this year.
After quarantine, the mare joined Benkowo's herd and is doing very well. Although she is not a very large horse, she has a dominant disposition and rules her paddock. She has a great personality.
