Poszerzanie poetyki 3:
„Obszary ekopoetyki”
która odbędzie się na Wydziale Polonistyki Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego
24-25 października 2022 roku w ramach cyklu konferencyjnego „Poszerzanie poetyki”. Ce
lem konferencji jest spojrzenie na ekopoetykę jako transdyskursywną i transmedialną praktykę tekstową oraz metodę badawczą dostarczającą narzędzi opisu przekazów koncentrujących się na ukazywaniu relacji człowieka z przyrodą, w tym innymi istotami żywymi. Okoliczności sformułowania założeń ekopoetyki – pogłębiający się kryzys klimatyczny, wskazujący na destabilizujące działanie człowieka na środowisko naturalne – sytuuje ją na pograniczu humanistyki i innych nauk. Użycie ekopoetycznego instrumentarium w badaniach form tekstowych różnych dyskursów, mediów i sztuk pozwala na ujęcie różnorodnej i dynamicznej relacji człowieka ze światem natury oraz projektowanie nowych sposobów postrzegania i reprezentacji, charakterystycznych dla świadomości antropocenicznej czy podmiotowości postludzkiej. Podczas obrad konferencyjnych chcemy poruszyć następujące zagadnienia:
– różne ujęcia ekopoetyki, podstawy teoretyczne i filozoficzne ukazujące i kształtujące rozumienie relacji człowieka wobec środowiska naturalnego;
– od myślenia egocentrycznego do ekocentrycznego: projekt humanistyki ekocentrycznej w epoce antropocenu;
– diachroniczne zmiany w reprezentowaniu przyrody i tekstowym kształtowaniu relacji człowiek-natura;
– wielodyskursywność refleksji nad wpływem człowieka na środowisko naturalne: konteksty filozoficzne, polityczne, bio-polityczne, religijne i inne;
– ekopoetyka jako strategia tworzenia i lektury tekstów różnych medialności: w literaturze, filmie, sztukach wizualnych, muzyce, nowych mediach, architekturze etc;
– sposoby mówienia różnych sztuk i dyskursów o klimacie, przyrodzie oraz człowieku jako podlegającej gatunkowej ewolucji (także w kierunku post- homo sapiens) istocie biologicznej, a także jego związkach ze środowiskiem naturalnym i innymi istotami biologicznymi;
– sztuka krytyczna, zaangażowana, interaktywna, ujawniająca nowe perspektyw poznawcze w relacjach z przyrodą;
– figury, struktury i chwyty tekstowe charakterystyczne dla ekopoetyki;
– rejestry tekstowe i gatunki (sielanka, utopia, dystopia, esej przyrodniczy i inne) charakterystyczne dla reprezentacji relacji człowieka ze środowiskiem;
– ekopoetyka w przekładzie językowym i medialnym;
– perspektywa rodzajowa tekstów literackich o przyrodzie: ekopoezja, ekoproza, ekodramat;
– figury, struktury i chwyty tekstowe charakterystyczne dla podmiotowości postludzkiej;
– poetyki zwierzęce, roślinne, nieorganiczne – sposoby reprezentacji odwołujące się do sposobów istnienia naturalnych bytów pozaludzkich;
– metafory odnoszące się do przyrody nieożywionej, organiczne, cielesne jako mechanizmy organizujące myślenie o relacjach między człowiekiem i światem;
– rola nowych mediów w konstruowaniu perspektywy posthumanistycznej;
– poetyka bioetyki – cechy reprezentacji odnoszących się do ingerencji, w szczególności na polu medycyny (także ingerowanie w proces udoskonalania człowieka jako gatunku homo sapiens) i biologii, w żywe organizmy;

Konferencja będzie odbywać się w formie zdalnej (za pomocą platformy Google Meet). Planujemy panele w różnych językach (polski, angielski, słowacki, niemiecki i inne). Publikacja artykułów pokonferencyjnych (po uzyskaniu pozytywnych recenzji) nastąpi w numerze tematycznym punktowanego czasopisma naukowego. Zgłoszenia propozycji tematów wraz ze streszczeniem (500-800 znaków) prosimy nadsyłać pod adresem [email protected] do 15 sierpnia 2022 roku. Informację dotyczącą przyjęcia tematu wystąpienia na konferencję prześlemy do 31 sierpnia 2022 roku. Po tym czasie przekażemy też pozostałe informacje organizacyjne. The Broadening of Poetics 3:
"Areas of Ecopoetics"
which will take place in the Faculty of Polish Studies at the University of Warsaw
from 24th until 25th of October 2022 as part of a conference cycle "The Broadening of Poetics"
The aim of the conference is to explore the ecopoetics as a transdiscursive and transmedial textual practice and research method which provides instruments to describe the relations between man and nature, including other living creatures. The context of the formulation of the principles of ecopoetics, i.e. a deepening climate crisis which indicates human activity that destabilizes the natural environment, situates it on the border between humanities and other sciences. The use of the tools of ecopoetics in the research on textual forms of different discourses, media, and arts, allows to capture a diverse and dynamic relation between man and nature, as well as to conceive of new ways of perceiving and representing which are characteristic of anthropocenic consciousness and posthuman subjectivity. At the conference we would like to discuss the following topics:
– different perspectives on ecopoetics, its theoretical and philosophical basis depicting and shaping our understanding of the relationship between man and natural environment;
– from egocentric to ecocentric thinking: the project of ecocentric humanities in the Anthropocene;
– diachronic changes in representing nature and a textual shaping of the relationship between man and nature;
– multidiscursive reflection on the human influence on the natural environment: philosophical, political, bio-political, religious and other contexts;
– ecopoetics as a strategy of creating and reading texts of different modalities: in literature, film, visual arts, music, new media, architecture, etc.;
– ways that different arts and media talk about climate, nature and human as a biological creature which undergoes species evolution (also in a post-homo sapiens direction), as well as human’s relationships with natural environment and other biological creatures;
– critical arts, involved, interactive, revealing new cognitive perspectives in the relationships with nature;
– textual structures and devices characteristic of ecopoetics;
– textual registers and genres (idyll, utopia, dystopia, natural essay etc.) characteristic of representation of the relationship between man and the environment;
– ecopoetics in linguistic and media translation;
– genre of literary texts on nature: ecopoetry, ecofiction, ecodrama;
– textual structures and devices characteristic of posthuman subject;
– animal, plant and inorganic poetics – methods of representation referring to the ways of existence of natural non-human creatures;
– metaphors referring to inanimate nature, metaphors organic and corporal as mechanisms which establish thinking about the relationships between man and the world;
– a role of the new media in the construction of posthuman perspective;
– the poetics of bioetics – the representation of interference in living organisms (especially in biology and medicine, including interferences in the process of the improvement of man as homo sapiens);

The conference will take place in digital format (via Google Meet). We are planning panels in different languages (Polish, English, Slovak, German and others). There will be no conference fee. Conference proceedings will be published, after a positive peer-review, in a special issue of an academic journal from the list of journals published by the Polish Ministry of Education and Science. Proposals of papers with abstracts (500-800 characters) should be submitted to [email protected] by the 15th August 2022. We will send confirmation of paper’s acceptance by the 31st August 2022. We will also send other conference details subsequently.
