NOT JUST A GAME will be part of a big event organised in Čadca! 52 different speakers and presenters organising workshops for 700 participants on various topics such as new technologies, non-formal education, psychology, self-development, well-being, internet security, inclusion, etc. We are honoured and very much looking forward to the event. We will keep you informed!

Na Gymnázium J. M. Hurbana v Čadci sa pripravuje deň, kedy výučba nebude vyzerať tak, ako ju poznáš.

Za myšlienkou stojí KERIC, ale všetko podstatné – organizácia, logistika aj priebeh – majú v rukách samotní študenti.

➡️ viac ako 52 workshopov a prednášok
➡️ celý deň rozdelený do blokov
➡️ študenti si vyberajú, kam chcú ísť

Namiesto klasického rozvrhu vznikol priestor, kde si každý môže poskladať deň podľa seba.

Čo ťa čaká?

– témy, ktoré škola bežne nestíha:
kritické myslenie a sociálne siete, AI v praxi, mentálne zdravie, zvládanie stresu, finančná gramotnosť, podnikanie, udržateľnosť, psychológia konzumu

– praktické skúsenosti:
robotika, tvorba hudby, fotografia, filmový zvuk, architektúra, dizajn, tanec, šport

– reálny svet bez filtra:
medicína, práca vyšetrovateľa, médiá, dobrovoľníctvo v zahraničí, expedície a veľké životné rozhodnutia

Nejde o “zábavný deň”.
Ide o výzvu: čo sa stane, keď študenti dostanú kontrolu nad vlastným vzdelávaním.

Jeden deň. Iný prístup. Reálne skúsenosti.

🤓Even when working on serious topics like preventing radicalization, we don’t forget the importance of play, creativity, and team spirit.🔥👏..
During our working meeting in Rabka, project partners tested a series of light team-building challenges — including one where the task was to form a Christmas tree in 30 seconds.

Why do we include such playful activities in our methodology?
Because they help groups open up, collaborate faster, build trust, and create a safe atmosphere. These elements are essential before moving into deeper discussions on empathy, non-violent communication, or understanding conflict.

🙌 In April, our full methodology for teachers and youth workers will be ready — blending both serious, structured activities and these lighter, energizing challenges that bring people together.

🎄 Creativity, teamwork, and a lot of fun — all part of making learning more engaging and meaningful.

These are some of the questions being addressed at the working meeting of the Not Just a Game project partners currently taking place in Rabka. We are testing activities in practice that will be used in the future by youth workers, coaches, and trainers to prevent radicalization.

Through sport, we are promoting inclusion, teamwork, and resilience among young people.

📢 Sport is : Key Takeaways from Our Online Symposium!

The power of sport to promote social inclusion and combat youth radicalisation was the central theme of our recent symposium. We explored vital strategies and shared the innovative tools developed by our partners to build more resilient communities across Europe.

Our Key Conclusions:
➡️ Focus on Cooperation: Reducing competition and increasing cooperation is crucial for preventing negative feelings that lead to radicalisation.

➡️ Practical Training: The new 6-module training course uses practical, experience-based methods like Edu-LARP to help youth workers spot and respond to radicalisation signs.

➡️ Ethical Mentorship: Coaches must act as ethical leaders, fostering inclusive spaces where young people feel valued and protected.

➡️ Collaborative Effort: Countering extremism requires multi-disciplinary and inter-agency collaboration across professionals and governmental bodies.

A massive thank you to the 109 people who came to the symposium yesterday and contributed actively to the discussions, highlighting the need for real-life solutions and more time for collaboration.
