A peaceful walk, from the heart Heartwalks are reflective, nonviolent walks through cities in which the route traces the shape of a heart.

In a time marked by war and polarization, we consciously choose a different path: walking side by side with people from different backgrounds, cultures, beliefs, and political perspectives - choosing connection over division, building bridges instead of walls.

Join Joe Weston, founder of the Fierce Civility Project (www.JoeWeston.com) and Judith van den Boogert from Mediacio.nl as they walk through Amsterdam, sharing their common vision: peace begins with one small choice — connecting with others despite our differences.

Online participation will include Dot Maver from Global Silent Minute (globalsilentminute.org) and Becky Suzik from JoyFuel (joyfuel.org), along with various speakers from around the world, who will create an interactive and inspiring online experience, contributing to the international impact.

Join us for an inspiring global gathering that celebrates the legacy and ever-growing movement of peace. The program opens with Fumi Johns Stewart and a heartfelt welcome from Masami Saionji, followed by Maki, Yuka, and Rika—daughter and granddaughters of Masahisa Goi—who will share the origin story of May Peace Prevail On Earth.

Our keynote speaker, Uta Gabbay of the Hechal Group, will guide us into deeper understanding before a powerful call to action featuring a Virtual Peace Pole Planting with Becky Suzik.

Together, we will activate the continents through a moving Peace Flag Ceremony and enjoy a special highlight: the announcement of the 2025 Peace Pals Art Awards winners. Youth Peace Ambassador Miki Kawamura offers an uplifting keynote, and Dot Maver leads the Global Silent Minute. We will close in a unifying circle, holding the collective intention:

Following the success of our 6th Annual Jagils Dinner and Gala, our focus now shifts to an exciting upcoming event: *The Dr. Nina L. Meyerhof Summit Leadership Institute, to be held in Baia Mare, Romania.*

Key Information:
- Location: North University Center of Baia Mare, Romania
- Proposed Dates: July 27 - August 2, 2025 (pending final confirmation)
- Planning Status: A working team is being formed between Jagils Summit Institute leadership and University partners

I am writing enthusiastically to share momentous news that marks a significant milestone in our institution's history. Through our European Campus, the Jacobs-Abbey Global Institute for Leadership Studies (Jagils) has successfully signed a protocol agreement with the Faculty of Humanities, North University Centre in Baia Mare, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

This landmark agreement paves the way for our inaugural Summer Institute - the Dr. Nina L Meyerhof Summer Leadership Institute - scheduled next summer at Centrul Universitar Nord din Baia Mare, Romania (Jagils-Baia Mare, Romania 2025). This collaboration represents a significant step in our mission to foster global leadership development and cross-cultural educational exchanges.
