Please join us in a global circle of prayer as we commemorate the 81st anniversary of the atomic bomb that fell on the city of Nagasaki and unite in the prayer, "May Peace Prevail on Earth."

This special program is hosted by members of Byakko Shinko Kai of Japan, continuing the peace prayer movement founded by Masahisa Goi in the aftermath of World War II. Together, we will offer prayers, perform sacred mudras and surround the Earth with a field of loving light as we pray for the abolition of nuclear weapons and the realization of lasting peace on Earth.

May our united prayers awaken the divine spark within humanity, revealing the oneness that unites us all. Together, let us hold the vision of One Peaceful World—a world free of nuclear weapons.

We will then connect via live stream to Nagasaki Peace Park and invite you to join us in the Global Silent Minute at the exact time the atomic bomb was dropped on the city of Nagasaki uniting with people around the world in a shared moment of remembrance and hope.

On August 6, people from around the world will gather to commemorate Nuclear Prayer Day, honoring the lives lost in Hiroshima and Nagasaki while reaffirming our shared commitment to a world free of nuclear weapons.
The program weaves together reflections, prayer, poetry, music, and inspiring stories of hope as voices from across the globe honor the lives lost in Hiroshima and Nagasaki while affirming the enduring promise of Never Again. Participants will experience the symbolic story of the Golden Ginkgo Leaf, hear the voices of those carrying forward the legacy of the Hibakusha, and celebrate the presentation of the 2026 Mikhail Gorbachev–George Shultz Youth Award to Joel Naoki Christoph, whose work exemplifies a new generation's commitment to a world free of nuclear weapons. As we remember the resilience symbolized by Hiroshima's Golden Ginkgo Tree, we are reminded that even after humanity's darkest moments, hope can take root, healing can begin, and peace can grow.

Hiroshima members of May Peace Prevail On Earth International invite you to a live broadcast from Hiroshima Peace Park to commemorate the 81st anniversary of the atomic bomb which fell on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.On August 6th at 8:15am local time in Japan, Peace Bells will ring throughout Hiroshima to mark the exact atomic moment the bomb was dropped. Please join the citizens of Hiroshima and Japan who stop for one minute of silence to honor those who have perished and to offer our prayers for everlasting peace and a world without nuclear weapons.Special guests will share their stories and a World Peace Flag Ceremony will be offered in front of the iconic Atomic Bomb Dome in the Hiroshima Peace Park.
