Jesus is the Light of the world. His light brings the power of blessings to each of us.
His light helps us to see and understand. His light brings us life. His light cleanses us. His light heals us. His light gives us a sense of security. His light brings us hope.
If His light shines in your life, then all these blessings are part of your life.
If the Light of Jesus Christ shines in your life, then you shine with God’s Light. You are now the light of the world, meant to illuminate the darkness of the world around you.
Matthew 5:14–16
14. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
15. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.
16. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Light must be visible; it cannot be hidden. Each of us is called to shine with God’s light so that this world, plunged into darkness, may once again see God’s light.
In the coming days, let us tell people the true story of God’s birth—the story of God’s light that came into a world of darkness to show people the way to God, to remove the darkness from their hearts and to bring in the light of life.
We are responsible for ensuring that this light continues to shine and reaches everyone.
Let us make the most of this time—for the days are evil, and each day seems worse than the last…
But let us remember this:

5. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
