“Polandine patti oru aksharam mindaaruth.”
You told the world not to speak a word about Poland.
But today — from Poland itself — we must break that silence.
Not in defiance, but in reverence.
We must speak.
We must remember.
We must honor.
With profound grief and heavy hearts, the Kerala Association of Poland mourns the passing of a legend — not just a writer, director, or actor, but a mirror to our society, a voice of reason wrapped in humor, and a cultural beacon for Malayalees across the world.
Your stories were never mere entertainment.
They reflected our everyday lives — our hypocrisies, aspirations, and collective conscience.
Through your pen and performances, you gave us characters we saw ourselves in, and dialogues that became the language of our thoughts.
For us, the Malayalees in Poland, you hold a very special place in our hearts.
Your immortal line from Sandesham —
“Polandine patti oru aksharam mindaaruth” —
transcended cinema to become our identity marker, our inside joke, our bridge to home.
Thousands of kilometers away from Kerala, that one line always made us smile — with pride, nostalgia, and belonging.
You warned against speaking of Poland, yet unknowingly you made every Malayalee here a walking cultural reference.
“You live in that Poland?” they ask back home, eyes twinkling.
Yes, Sir — that Poland.
The one you made famous with a single, brilliant line.
Your satire in films like Sandesham was not just comedy — it was prophecy.
Even today, your commentary on politics, society, and human nature remains razor-sharp and relevant.
You taught us to laugh at our follies while thinking deeply about them.
As we navigate our lives in Poland, your dialogues remain our shared vocabulary, your wisdom our guiding light, and your humor our comfort.
Thank you, Sreenivasan Sir, for the laughter, the lessons, and the legacy.
Thank you for making us think while you made us smile.
Thank you for giving us an identity we carry with pride — wherever we go.
Today, we speak of Poland.
Today, we speak of you.
May your soul rest in eternal peace.
Your words will live forever in our hearts and on our lips.🙏🤍
