🎥 When AI discussions get real

These moments are from last year’s AI-focused sessions in Krakow.
What stayed with us wasn’t flashy demos or big claims – but the questions people kept coming back to:

How do we validate these tools?

How do they fit into real clinical workflows?

Who is responsible when AI moves from research into care?

It became clear there’s a strong, shared need for a space that goes beyond models and metrics – and focuses on evidence, trust, and real-world implementation.

That’s the thinking behind AIMed 2026.

AIMed is a focused international conference bringing together clinicians, researchers, developers, regulators, and industry to examine the full pathway of AI in medicine — from methods and evaluation to clinical use.

We are pleased to introduce AIMed | Artificial Intelligence in Medicine — a new initiative dedicated to advancing the responsible, evidence-informed use of AI in healthcare.

AIMed brings together clinicians, researchers, data scientists, regulators, and industry experts to explore how artificial intelligence can meaningfully improve medicine — from clinical validation and patient safety to real-world implementation.

The AIMed Conference (aimedicine.one) is our flagship event, uniting global experts to share research, insights, and practical applications of AI in healthcare.
Beyond the conference, AIMed will offer workshops, tutorials, and collaborative initiatives throughout the year, supporting continuous learning and dialogue.

AIMed is organized by the Polish Institute for Evidence Based Medicine (PIEBM) and McMaster University in collaboration with the University of Oxford’s Big Data Institute and the Interdisciplinary Health Data Center of the Jagiellonian University Medical College.
