What a day! ☺️ We are proud to announce that Julia Smuczynska from III LO Gdańsk has won the national finals of the English Speaking Union’s International Public Speaking Competition. We would also like to congratulate Agnieszka Baranowska from ALO Gdynia for receiving an honorable mention and of course bravo to Aleksandra Dwojakowska (ALO Gdynia), Martyna Nadolska (VI LO Gdynia) and Jan Zachariasiewicz (III LO Gdańsk) for so wonderfully representing our region. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 A huge thank you to ESU Bydgoszcz for making this day possible. 💙💛

It’s quite a challenge to find a photo where everyone is looking at the camera, but there are a lot of smiles on this one in particular. 😍Thank you for Giving us the opportunity to listen to all of your incredible interpretations on this year’s topic “We expect too much from our heroes”. Zbliżają się nasze eliminacje regionalne, które odbędą się 11.03.2022 od 10-13 na Uniwersytecie Gdańskim. Bardzo cieszymy się, ze znowu się spotkamy i zachęcamy do włączenia się do zbiórki na rzecz Ukrainy.

Zbieramy:

- pieluchy/pampersy
- gotową żywność dla dzieci, musy, mleko w proszku
- papier toaletowy
- leki przeciwbólowe, leki na nadciśnienie
- nożyczki ratownicze atraumatyczne, opaski zaciskowe, koce termiczne
- wody utlenione, roztwory fizjologiczne
- opaski medyczne, elastyczne, uciskowe
- kompresy z gazy jałowej, żelatynowe gąbki hemostatyczne, rękawice nitrylowe, preparaty hemostatyczne
- gotowe apteczki
- latarki, baterie, powerbanki
- artykuły higieniczne dla kobiet.

Wszystko możecie przynosić na konkurs 11.03. Informujemy również, że zamiast nagród, pieniądze które co roku na nie przeznaczamy zostaną przekazane na zbiórkę: Gdańsk Pomaga Ukrainie. 💙💛

What a time to be alive! This year's national finals are surely one for the books. Not only because we were able to connect and listen to some impressive speeches VIRTUALLY, but because all of today's speakers truly were exceptional. 😍

A huge congratulations to Julia Smuczynska from III LO Gdańsk for taking second place. Thank you to all three girls for representing our region proudly. 🙏🏻

We hope to continue promoting public speaking among young adults and hope to hear from you in the future. 👏👏🗣🗣

„The best route to change engages all voices”- this year’s topic encouraged many ideas. We had the pleasure of listening to 16 ambitious and creative young people present their interpretation of this topic at the regional finals of the English Speaking Union’s international public speaking competition. 🗣
Although, it was quite difficult to choose only three finalists, the jury finally came to an agreement.

Julia Smuczynska from III LO Gdańsk
Julia Czapp from I LO Kartuzy

These three young women will represent our Gdańsk branch in the national finals this coming Saturday, March 20. The competition will take place virtually via Zoom.

Thank you to the rest of the students who took part in our regional finals. It was refreshing to hear so many eye-opening speeches.
