Our Story
SOCIAL SANGAT is a learning-based civil society organization was formed as a literary society by a group of committed young activists in 2009 in Usta Muhammad Balochistan (Pakistan). Social Sangat having a Mission to educate and aware peoples, especially youth by providing services and through awareness raising activities, so that they could become good & civilized citizens and contribute their part properly. Social Sangat opposes all forms of discrimination and respects the rights and dignity of the people, regardless of ethnic, social, religious or political differences. We believe that we have born to fight against ignorance and injustice. Social Sangat governed by an independent Board of Directors (BOD) and currently working on the issues of human rights, gender discrimination, peace, democracy and women and youth empowerment. Objectives: 1. To aware, educate and mobilize people especially youth & women for basic human rights, and facilitate marginalized population of the society to search the way of raising voice for humanity trough research, advocacy, awareness raising and capacity building. 2. To lobby & Advocacy for change in law and practice which will realize equity and economic security for women, youth & minorities, and to work for change in attitudes which will bring about equality of opportunity for women, youth and minorities in education, employment and participation in public and political roles. 3. To work towards empowerment and improvement of socio-economic and Political status of women and young peoples. 4. To Promote Social-Democratic values, Justice, Gender Equality, and Peace-building actions.
