Proud moment for FSDI as our Joint Secretary, Ms. Deviya Bharti, receives recognition for her dedication and excellence in education.
With a dedicated career built on empathy, inclusivity, and early childhood character development, Deviya Bharti stands out as a compassionate classroom innovator and an essential institutional pillar at the primary level in Sindh. She currently serves under the School Education & Literacy Department (SELD), Government of Sindh, as a Primary School Teacher (PST BPS-14) at the Government Boys Elementary School (GBELS) GunesDas Malhi, Umerkot (SEMIS Code: 420021129). Since her formal appointment into government service on October 1, 2022, she has poured her energy into foundational literacy and logical development, establishing strong instructional expertise in teaching Sindhi language fundamentals and basic Mathematics to young learners.
Equipped with a solid academic background holding a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Ms. Bharti’s pedagogical philosophy centers entirely on child psychology, joyful learning, and the creation of a safe, non-threatening school environment. She actively transforms her classroom by deploying interactive, activity-based learning models, specialized instructional techniques, and creative arts to make complex language rules and math concepts accessible to early graders. Her professional journey was significantly enriched during her rigorous initial induction training, a pivotal experience that sharpened her classroom management skills, expanded her understanding of modern pedagogy, and solidified her deep commitment to inclusive, student-centered education.
Beyond core academics, Ms. Bharti acts as a vital agent for social change and community integration within the district. Her strategy for achieving maximum student enrollment and high retention rates relies on absolute kindness, patience, and a friendly, welcoming disposition that makes the school a second home for marginalized and out-of-school children. A talented artist who enjoys drawing, she weaves her creative abilities directly into her classroom aesthetics, utilizing art to boost student engagement and foster holistic development. Guided by the profound observation that children have the power to change the world when guided by the right teacher, she leaves her students with the empowering reminder that they are the true future of Pakistan. Furthermore, she makes a strong, affectionate appeal to parents and the general public to unapologetically champion female education and local greenery, simply declaring that our daughters and our environment deserve every bit of our investment because "they are absolutely worth it."
