QAFELA NGO founded in 2009 and registered in 2011, under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, KP Charity Commission Act, 2019 and FBR (Federal Board of Revenue). Quick-Change Association for Educational Promotion, Livelihood Development and Awareness (QAFELA) is a non-profit NGO based in Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. QAFELA works on social and economic development, gender equality, women
empowerment, ecological conservation, climate change adaptation, disaster response, and poverty alleviation with a strong focus on marginalized groups such as women, the poor, and communities in remote mountainous regions. The organization has a Board of Governors (BOG) and General Body (GB) comprised of experienced professionals from reputable national and international organizations. Its skilled team specializes in community development, social mobilization, livelihoods, relief operations, conflict resolution, and climate resilience. Its multi-disciplinary team of professionals is governed by a Board of Governors, which serves as the policy-making forum for the organization. The team is led by a highly experienced Chairman of the Board of Governors, who has held senior management positions in national and international organizations such as SRSP and the SDC funded Kalam Integrated Development Project of Inter-Cooperation Switzerland. He has received training in development from institutions in Europe and the United States. In recognition of his contributions, he has been awarded the Ashoka Fellowship and the title of Global Goodwill Ambassador. The Chairman is supported by an Executive Director, a Director of Operations, and Program Managers. The Executive Director of QAFELA has extensive experience working with projects such as USAID’s FATA LDP, the FAO/ERRA Livelihoods Rehabilitation Project, IRC Pakistan, EIROP Composite Training Program, PPTA for FRDP, DFID’s Pakistan Participatory Poverty Assessment, P*P, and the SDC/IC-supported Kalam Integrated Development Project. He also has international experience in Doha, Qatar. He leads the NGO’s team in program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, coordination, and donor reporting. He also convenes meetings of the Board of Directors as needed to seek approval of organizational policies. Supporting the Executive Director, a Director of Operations Overseeing daily operations, field activities managing programs, budgets, and compliance, leading staff.
