HO is to promote the life of underprivileged peoples in Rural and remote areas of Sindh, Pakistan. The aim of HHO is to enhance the welfare of the people through advocacy, quality service provision and promoting human rights, social justice and policies that ensure the rights of vulnerable populations and it is working consistently to extend the circle of welfare services in all areas of province and to provide extensive opportunities to community members for building self-esteem or confidence, having a great way to learn or develop skills, giving a pathway to enhance work experience and move for making a difference within own community. It has shaped Sindh Volunteer Program (SVP) for all community members specially youth for giving a way to meet new people or broaden social set. Objectives
The purpose of SVP is to broaden the social set and extend the welfare in maximum spheres of life through volunteers which may be an outlet for natural talents and a road-test for new career. We believe that your strong beliefs and values may also inspire you to volunteer and at least a few of the goals to achieve:
A means of building self-esteem or confidence. A pathway to enhance work experience. A way to meet new people or broaden your social set. Make a difference in someone’s life. A way of expressing gratitude for help you may have received in the past or ‘giving back’. An opportunity to support a cause you feel strongly about. Feeling needed and valued is satisfying in itself. Make a difference within one’s own community.
3. Scope of Volunteer Activities
The volunteer will act as a member of HHO and volunteer activities may include to following acts:
To take part in important professional events conducted in the name of HHO
To assist in providing support to establish a social work network in community
To extend support on a membership survey
To assist in promoting the welfare and awareness session which will be conducted by HHO on various social issues? To help HHO foster collaboration with different organization in order to promote mutual support, acquire technical support for implementation of various activities of HHO
To interact with community members a manner that is consistent with social, cultural, and traditional norms and values
To pursue other tasks with HHO as need may arise
To carry out all work in consultation with HHO, providing regular reports of progress
