Established on May 29, 2003, as a not-for-profit organization and registered under section 42 of the Companies Act 2017 (Formerly known as Companies Ordinance, 1984). SRSO stands as a beacon of hope and change in Rural Sindh dedicated to the upliftment of communities, supported by the Sindh Government's visionary commitme

nt. SRSO’s mandate is to alleviate poverty by harnessing people’s potential lying within the communities to help themselves and undertake development activities. Our mission is rooted in a comprehensive strategy endorsed by the government. We actively engage in poverty reduction through community empowerment, skills enhancement, capacity building, and community-supported infrastructure projects. SRSO journey began in the District Sukkur and has evolved over 20 impactful years, expanding to 15 districts and 722 Union Councils of Sindh. With roots in the National Rural Support Programme, SRSO adapts dynamically to meet the ever-changing needs of rural Sindh. We emerged due to the social mobilization movement that originated in Pakistan in 1982. Led by the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme, and later, with funding & support from the Government of Sindh, our endowment increased from Rs. 500 million to Rs. 1 billion. This growth empowered us to expand our outreach to 23 Union Councils across five districts. SRSO strives to foster grassroots-level organizations, enabling rural communities to plan and manage developmental activities. Alleviating poverty is our core objective, complementing the Government of Pakistan's policy and supporting the Government of Sindh's poverty reduction strategies. The vision of SRSO is grand, yet tangible. We aspire to create a framework of grassroots institutions in villages across 722 Union Councils, empowering rural poor and women to break the cycle of poverty.

*From Rural Classrooms to the Winning Podium 🏆

Through our relentless efforts and in collaboration with the *Deputy Commissioner, Kashmore @ Kandhkot*, students from rural areas where *SRSO is managing EMO Schools* performed at the *14th August Independence Day Celebrations* organized by the Deputy Commissioner, Kashmore @ Kandhkot.

We feel immensely proud to announce that our students have achieved another milestone. They performed in front of a large audience and received appreciation awards from the undersigned.

The dedication and motivation of our students are highly commendable. They traveled from dawn to reach the *Mini Stadium, Kandhkot by 07:00 AM* to showcase science and arts models, perform national songs, and deliver declamations.

I would also like to appreciate the efforts of my entire team, including ACs and teachers, for making this milestone possible.

Meanwhile, the talent of our students was highly appreciated by all stakeholders.

Cluster Schools Shikarpur Celebrate 79th Independence Day 🇵🇰

The Cluster Schools of Shikarpur, managed by the Rural Support Organization ( ), including Community Cluster School Sohrab Khan Pahore, Community Cluster School Garhi Sahib Khan, Community Cluster School Chutti Drib, and 10 cluster schools across , celebrated Pakistan's 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm, patriotism, and national spirit.

The celebrations began with the national anthem and the hoisting of the national flag. Students and teachers actively participated in speeches, tableaus, quiz competitions, and national songs to express their love for Pakistan.

During the celebrations, tribute was paid to the sacrifices of the founders of Pakistan, the Pakistan Armed Forces, and civilians.

Teachers highlighted that the younger generation is the true heir to these sacrifices and must contribute to building a peaceful, prosperous, and progressive Pakistan.

The celebrations concluded with the distribution of sweets among students.

On August 14, 2026, the Sindh Rural Support Organization ( ) organized a series of events at the Taluka Offices of Gambat and Sobhodero, District Khairpur Mr's to commemorate Pakistan’s Independence Day and distribute Solar Home System (SHS) kits among deserving beneficiaries.

The events were attended by distinguished political representatives, local government officials, community stakeholders, and SRSO staff. A total of 200 Solar Home System kits were distributed among beneficiaries during the events.

The events were graced by Ms. Mehreen Razzaque Bhutto as the Chief Guest. Other distinguished guests and stakeholders included: Mr. Ghulam Abbass – District Council Chairman.

The Regional General Manager, Mr. Aumir Abass, welcomed the Chief Guest and other distinguished participants. He provided an overview of the Solar Home System Project, and SRSO's other rural development programs, interventions, and achievements.

The Chief Guest, Ms. Mehreen Razzaque Bhutto, appreciated the efforts and contributions of SRSO toward rural development and community empowerment in Sindh. She particularly acknowledged the organization's initiatives aimed at improving access to basic facilities and supporting vulnerable and deserving communities.

Alongside the SHS kit distribution activities, the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan was also celebrated at the Taluka Offices with national spirit and enthusiasm.

The event highlighted the importance of national unity, community development, and collective efforts for the socio-economic development of rural communities.

It is with great pride and gratitude that we announce a landmark achievement by -managed EMO Schools, RFP-7 Kashmore @ Kandhkot*.

Our students secured 1st Position in the Declamation Competition at Cadet College Karampur*, competing against top private and government institutions. This outstanding result reflects the strength of collective effort and institutional excellence.

Competition Results:

On the occasion of Independence Day (14th August), a colourful programme was organized at Haleji Lake by the District Administration, , with participation from various departments and organizations.

SRSO - Sindh Rural Support Organization also established a stall showcasing its work, initiatives, and locally produced handicrafts.

The stall was visited by ADC-I Thatta, AC Ghorabari, AC Thatta, AC Keti Bandar, and officers from various departments, including DEOs of the Education Department, the Director of Allama Iqbal Open University, the Pro Vice Chancellor of Sindh University, media representatives, heads of various government departments, NGOs, and other visitors.

The visiting officials and guests appreciated SRSO’s work and initiatives. They also showed keen interest in the handicrafts displayed at the stall and purchased several handmade items.

At the end, the Chief Guest, Deputy Commissioner , also visited the SRSO stall. He highly appreciated the stall, expressed his happiness over SRSO’s work and initiatives, and appreciated the handicrafts displayed there.

سنڌ حڪومت جون مهيا ڪيل فائدو حاصل ڪندڙ گهراڻن جي اهليت جي معيار مطابق شفاف جانچ ۽ تصديق جي عمل کان پوءِ سولر هوم سسٽم جون ڪِٽون مُفت ڏنيون ويون.
سرسو پاران سروي ٿيل گهراڻن جي تصديق، ڪِٽون ورهائڻ ۽ گهرن ۾ لڳائڻ جي خدمت جي بدلي ڪنهن به سطح تي ڪا فيس يا قيمت نٿي ورتي وڃي.
