SOS Childrens Village Jamshoro.

Here the orphaned and abandoned children aren’t being looked after by their ‘biological’ parents, but that hasn’t stopped them from receiving the same kind of love and affection they would if they were to be with their mothers and fathers. At the village, they have been reunited with a new family in the form of their foster siblings and mother. The stay at the SOS village also ensures quality education and a healthy lifestyle and environment. The SOS, an international organisation for children’s welfare with presence in 133 countries, opened its 12th branch in Pakistan in April 2012, in Jamshoro. Since then 22 children have been enrolled of which two have already returned to their relatives.

It is constructed on a 5 acre Land, donated by the University of Sindh Administration. This Village comprises of 15 family homes having the capacity to accommodate 10 orphans in each household of brothers and sisters looked after by a mother and an aunt. The other facilities include a Computer Lab, two separate activity rooms for boys and girls, a Library, an Administrative Block, a Playground and a Mosque. The Children are well settled in the Village environment. Currently, the Village is providing home to 18 children.They are attending Syed Pannah Ali Shah Model School, Sindh University Jamshoro.
