World Hypertension Day is observed every year on May 17 to raise awareness about high blood pressure, known as the “silent killer” affecting millions worldwide.

The 2026 theme, “Controlling Hypertension Together,” highlights the importance of collective efforts by individuals, families, communities, and healthcare systems to prevent and control hypertension.

The anti-polio campaign in district Kamber Shahdadkot will be conducted from 18th May to 21st May 2026 to protect children from the lifelong disability caused by polio.

Centre for Sustainable Development Society - CSDS NGO Kamber has actively started awareness sessions across the entire district to educate parents and communities about the importance of polio vaccination and ensuring that every child receives polio drops during the campaign.

The organization’s teams are visiting different areas, engaging with families, and spreading the message that a healthy future for children begins with timely vaccination.

Community participation and public cooperation are essential for making the campaign successful and keeping children safe from polio.

Centre for Sustainable Development Society - CSDS - CSDS NGO Kamber and FIRST STEP Elementary School Kamber organized a ceremony at Foundation Assisted Burira Colony School, Kamber, to mark one year of Marka-e-Haq “Bunyān-un-Marsoos” and express solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces.

Students presented national songs, tableaux, speeches, and essay ,drawing competitions, while medals and prizes were distributed among outstanding participants.

District Coordination Meeting held on 6th May 2026 in district Kamber Shahdadkot under the Strengthening Social Protection Delivery System in Sindh (SSPDSS) project.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Kamber Shahdadkot Mr. Kamran Mushtaque Shaikh.

President of Centre for Sustainable Development Society - CSDS NGO Kamber Mr. Babar Memon , along with officials from NADRA, Local Government, Health, and Population departments participated in the meeting.

The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen coordination among government departments and stakeholders for effective implementation of the SSPDSS project under the MAMTA Program.

During the briefing, participants were informed that 81,000 pregnant and lactating mothers have been registered, while 388,072 compliances have been recorded under the program.

The Worthy Deputy Commissioner appreciated the progress of the project and directed NADRA authorities to facilitate CNIC registration of potential beneficiaries through MRV vans.

He further instructed all concerned departments to extend full cooperation and enhance outreach of the MAMTA Program for the welfare of the community.
