Social Justice Forum has signed an MoU with the District Bar Association Sanghar to provide free legal aid to vulnerable and underserved communities. This partnership will support women facing domestic violence and other injustices, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), farmers and agricultural workers dealing with account-settlement issues, laborers who are not receiving their due wages, and communities that are deprived of their rightful CSR benefits.

This partnership opens new doors for vulnerable groups to access justice and legal protection. Our collective efforts aim to ensure that no one is left unheard of or unsupported.

Today on International Equal Pay Day (18 September), we remind everyone that equal pay for work of equal value is not a privilege—it’s a right.

In Pakistan, women still earn significantly less than men—even when performing the same jobs. In Sindh, laws like the Sindh Women Agriculture Workers Act and the Home-Based Workers Act promise equal pay, but far too many women are left behind because of weak implementation, lack of awareness, and social norms.

🔹 We call on:

1. Government and authorities to enforce existing laws effectively.
2. Employers to adopt transparent pay practices.
3. Communities to support women’s economic participation and reject discrimination.

Equal pay strengthens families, economies, and social justice. Let’s make the promise of equality a reality—today and every day.

🚨 Public Transport – A Social Justice Concern in 🚨

Citizens of Shahdadpur are facing serious issues with transport services to Hyderabad:

❌ No fixed timing of vans
❌ CNG-operated vehicles creating risks
❌ Overloading – no per-seat sitting system
❌ Women, children, and elderly suffering the most

Safe, reliable, and dignified transport is a basic right – not a privilege. We urge the concerned authorities, especially the Deputy Commissioner Sanghar, Assistant Commissioner Shahdadpur and Sindh Mass Transit Authority to take immediate action.
