Mr.Rafique Butt, Mr.Waheed (project director), Mr.Qamar Shah, Pro.Rashid and Jarar Shah were there. They were very happy to see the old work of Gandhara civilization being done in a new modern way.
And he said in his words that this work should be exported to other countries so that people know that Gandhara civilization is still alive and its work is very important.

Ambassador Frederico Silva, Embassy of Portugal in Islamabad, visited Gandhara Art Village Taxila on 20th April, 2024. Rafique Butt (Member PMC), Mr. Ahsan Raza and Jarar Ali Shah briefed about the projects, skills of the artisans and the impact of this project of Punjab Small Industries Corporation on the life of local artisans, which was greatly appreciated by the delegation, especially the products displayed in emporium show skills of the artisans. The Ambassador also wants to visit again and wish to introduce these Made in Pakistan products in Portugal.

I am so happy to share that Abdul Hafeez, a master stone artisan of Taxila is back in action! He had lost his livelihood when he had to sell all his occupational tools and machines to pay for medical treatment of his 11 months' old daughter. His daughter got well and with financial support from our friends he is back to work in his new and improved workshop. He invited his co workers and friends today to witness him back in action and pray for his future success.
