Its essential components would be hospital-based tertiary eye care services, community-oriented prevention of

blindness program, need-based human resource development, promotion of basic and applied research in ophthalmology and development of appropriate and affordable technology.

Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital, with its commitment to serve humanity as far as it can, has illuminated countless lives since its inception.

Bakhtawar Shah, a worried father of three from Buner, could not take a sigh of relief as his children's eyesight kept deteriorating. He consulted local doctors from Buner but no channel of treatment helped. Then, Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital stepped in and offered rehabilitation to all three of them at Pakistan's only Low Vision Rehabilitation Centre. Since the first visit, their father has noticed a remarkable improvement in their lifestyle as they restarted their educational journeys.

On June 17th, 2026, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Faisal Karim Kundi visited Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital, Rawalpindi.
